Football is a career, some of us make moves in our careers primarily for financial reasons not because we love our company more than another.

When the financially better move aligns with a career advancement move. The choice is easy. That is why most players will choose England over Nigeria.

It does not mean, they love one country over the other. Some of these boys listen to mainly Nigerian music but they have a connection to both countries.

On Sadiq Umar's time at Rangers FC and his relationship with Steven Gerrard.

Speaking to The Sunday Post, he said: “All of a sudden, I was told that I could not use the first-team dressing-room any more. Instead I had to go change with the kids. Then, after a few days, I was also forbidden to park my car inside the training centre.

“I felt humiliated and kept asking what was the reason for the change of attitude. But I never received any answers. Gerrard wouldn’t give any explanation about it, neither to me nor my representatives.

“I believe absolutely that I was not given a fair chance to show what I can do. They made me feel like a stranger. I started only once (in the League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen) and that was when there were no other strikers available.

“As I say, for me everything went wrong after they brought in another striker (Lafferty). Once I put a ‘like’ on Instagram to a post from a fan – and I was fined £20,000, which was absurd.

“And Rangers didn’t even pay me up everything I was due. They still have to give me my salary for December.”

If we talk about a certain player at wolves, someone will tell us he was frozen out of the team because of Jorge Mendez involvement with the club but he's always too quick to pass a judgment on Sadiq Umar.

Sadiq was froze out of the team too without any explanation, not like he played 25 games without scoring.

If you can make excuses for someone because he didn't get to play then think twice before you pass such judgement on Sadiq.

this is real bad..very very bad. I think people here need to know that performance only doesn't have a say on players appearances. i noticed something like this during musa 's time at leceister .
Note pls, am not building up any excuses for any players. It is just that there are some things behind the scene we may never know.

Thankfully Amaju is not ignorant of the dynamics of football marketing and value associated with national allegiance.

Soon Eberechi Eze will be playing for Nigeria, my expectations before the end of January or sooner.
I only see that happening if he somehow doesnt continue progressing as he is now...

No player who claims to love a country would jettison a national team invitation to play for an underaged team of another country

To think that the list was delayed FOR HIM

Would Nigeria delay a list for a home born player?

Nigerian Wing Wizard in the land of Le Oranje, Chidera Ejuke starts for SC Heerenven in an away tie vs PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie.

Another Nigerian Wing Lord, Samuel Kalu starts for Bordeaux in Ligue 1 vs AS Monaco.
Josh Maja makes the bench. Onyekuru not in Matchday squad for Monaco.
Correction: Josh Maja starts as well.

Bobby Adekanye on the bench as usual for SS Lazio as they take on Sassuolo away in the Italian Serie A.

This place is not Romance or Politics Section, where dunderheads have free rein to misbehave. We can take the occasional jabs from certain monikers, but this rubbish you did with tbaba's post will not stand.

It would do you well to refrain from such juvenile behavior next time.

I am not telling you how to behave, that is the work of the people at home, not strangers on the internet.

I am simply advising you in case of next time. If I was telling you anything, it would be to apologise, but I know you to be an unremorseful character, so, I refrained from that.

Whatever you choose to do with the advise is your business, and what I choose to do to your post when next time comes, is my business.
