Really? I doubt if you have ever been to Abuja before. Or probably you visit outskirts claiming it's Abj. In terms of infrastructure and their maintenance, Abuja is arguably the best in Nigeria.

Regarding the malfunctioning traffic light. It is not strange as equipment can fail once a while. So there isn't a big deal there. When you notice such, just report it and the responsible party will have it fixed. There are always traffic policemen around Abj that you can easily inform.

It is pathetic that many unpatriotic Nigerians are happy to see things like these and blow it out of proportion as if electronics or machines nor dey fail for obodo oyinbo

Lol... there's no one controlling it. It's just its microprocessor's programming that needs to be reprogrammed/reset.

You are right on the part of no one has been paid though, as there are Nigerian technicians/engineers that can do it. But like every Government project, the cost of fixing it or replacing it must be highly inflated so that they can make money off of it.

Asides that, there's lots of unnecessary bureaucracy and procedures that must be passed before funds is released for this and if it does not benefit the ogas in any way, the fund will not be released and the repairs will be abandoned like every other government project.

Hmm this is not good at all..I can imagine the gridlock this will cause apart from the regular one cased by that market opposite diamond bank..

Abeg for cheap Self contained apartment in Abuja check my signature..You can also be a house owner in Abuja for as low as 3million and this houses are withing town,information is power..if u know u know. Be smart and own a house in the FCT and within town too not outskirts. cheap cos sellers are in need of fast cash so call now.

That was how i stayed for almost 10mins at Eric Moore/Bode Thomas Junction like mumu. Didnt know the lights was permanently at yellow, others were coming and going and i was forming good citizen.

I know that spot very well and I can tell you that the video is old. The Traffic light there is working perfectly. I use that road almost on daily basis. Let us not dwell on fixed issues.

It is located at 1st Avenue Gwarinpa, near drumsticks junction, Abuja.

From the video, the lights switch from “Stop” to “go” in quick succession.

Recall that in 18 months, between January 2016 and June 2017 alone, 430 persons was killed in road accidents in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Investigation by the ICIR, reveals that at least 50 percent of the crashes were caused by non-functional traffic signals.

Well, traffic lights are electronic equipments and glitches do happen. This is where humans should use their common sense and do things in order. However that is Nigeria....a country where orderliness is alien and chaos is the way of life!
