Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by capitalzero: 12:19pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
PlsBanMe: yes that is why oyo is appealing to osun to sell her share of lautech but osun is not willing to release lautech to oyo. 2 reasons-fear victimization of staff from osun and admission policy which favours both osun and oyo presently. solutions: let oyo has lautech maintain present admission policy mou that will protect staff who are from osun osun should be reasonable in her share of lautech to ensure students and staff from osun state are protected. 1 Like |

PlsBanMe: Your analogy is completely irrelevant, unbecoming and it deviated away from the truth. an analogy of father and son will be better. |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by DandyWalker(m): 2:34pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
PlsBanMe:This is actually a wrong analogy. Osun State was carved out of the Old Oyo State, thus, the teaching hospital in oshogbo falls under Osun State, while the school remains under Oyo State. That was what informed the joint ownership. If the school had no teaching hospital in Oshogbo, there won't have been any joint ownership of the school and teaching hospital in the first place. Now, the school has been bedevilled by incessant strike actions in recent times due to lack of full commitment from the owner states. Now, don't you think it is better for them to share the spoils? Osun can take full control of the teaching hospital, while Oyo takes full ownership of the university. By this, each government would be fully committed to their responsibilities and the citizens/workers/students would be the winners eventually. |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by Mirrorlenz: 3:05pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
juman: It is simple. Oyo should buy Osun stake in the university. Infact, there is a Supreme Court ruling on the matter |

Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by maasoap(m): 3:22pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
jamesversion: In case you didn't know why Osun state is not cooperating with Oyo State, let me hint you. It has to do with the teaching hospitals in Osogbo and Ogbomoso. Osogbo was the location of the teaching hospital. But when Akala established teaching hospital in Ogbomoso in an attempt to hijack LAUTECH completely, osun state govt opposed the move. In retaliation, Oyo State stopped funding teaching hospital in Osogbo. In retaliation, Osun state govt too would delay or refuse to pay its July - December funding of the main school in Ogbomoso. Up till now, only Osun state govt is funding teaching hospital in Osogbo which is contrary to the agreement of having school in Oyo and having teaching hospital in Osun |

jamesversion:The best thing to do is to sell the car and share the money according to share holding. it is now left to the brother whose the old car is in his car park to buy and take full possession of it. |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by juman(m): 3:37pm On Nov 27, 2019 |

capitalzero:That is correct. It seems people only rely on propaganda and not the reality. Many people comment without even knowing the place where this school is located; only basing their argument on hearsay and what the Osun government says. And Osun government is known for the "truth". They don't consider and empathize with the students whose time are being wasted and the community that is bearing the brunt of those industrial actions. As for me, the best thing to save this recurring problem is what the governor of Oyo state proposed. |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by Jrobert82: 4:32pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
maasoap:Okay. If that is a tenable reason for Osun state government to stop or technically delay the payment of their statutory subvention, what does the Osun government want the Oyo state government to do with the multi-billiion naira teaching hospital in Ogbomoso? At least, the deed is already done. And they (the hospital) also have their liabilities. |

Brunicekid: Jrobert82: Brunicekid: love your submission, most people just run their mouth on the issue including the Governor, am a product of LAUTECH even during Akala vs Aregbesola, all these wailings of Akala taking the ownership for Oyo didn't work, there is a signed agreement that binds the school...let's just stop seeing things with our eyes alone but use brain as well. |

Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by PlsBanMe: 6:13pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
Firebomber: If you indeed have an open mind and willing to know the truth, check out the other side of the news. Check out Osun's response. The most popular news sometimes is not the truth. Oyo has not yet responded to Osun's allegations that she is paying more than Oyo. |

Chief aturota, you were Aregbesola's critics so this is of expectation.... Though I'm a fan of Oyo being the sole ownership LAUTECH. However you were deformed of the situation on ground as regard your claim on Oyetola's non payment. [s] chiefolododo:[s][/s] |

Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by LivingSage: 6:38pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
I love this. Even Aregbesola once said it momentarily that since Osun gains nothing in joint ownership of LAUTECH, it should be left for Oyo while Osun takes ownership of TEACHING HOSPITAL in Oshogbo. I could remember vividly, there were voices then Mirrorlenz: |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by maasoap(m): 9:37pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
Jrobert82: Wrong question! Your question should have been why did Oyo State stop funding the teaching hospital in Osogbo? That's the genesis and there is no way to overlook that. The problem will continue intermittently like that for a long time to come. |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by Jrobert82: 10:34pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
Aymakavelli2:with your comment, it's somewhat apparent that you read law from LAUTECH. Knowing that some people do not reason with their brain. Can't people respond without using vulgar and abusive languages? I choose to use modest language instead. Calling people names does not change people's perspective and perception about a stance. Neither does it change what will eventually happen to the fate of LAUTECH. People said more than you are saying about LAUTECH regarding EKSU (between Ekiti and Ondo) and DELSU (between Edo and Delta). What eventually happened is that they became solely owned by the host states. Regardless of what anybody say here, que sera sera |
Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by Jrobert82: 10:38pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
maasoap:And that is the very reason why the school will be taken over by the host state since they have their reasonable reason why they should fail to fund the school. |

Re: Oyo Moves For The Sole Ownership Of Lautech by maasoap(m): 11:50am On Nov 28, 2019 |
Jrobert82: If it was that easy, there wouldn't be joint ownership by this time. Oyo State government, both executive and legislative arms know that it is practically impossible unless Osun state government say YES. They've been through this so many times in the past |
