Ebere Eze starts in midfield (as usual) for QPR vs Nottingham Forest in the English Championship.

Also, The ever Energetic Peter Olayinka starts for Slavia Prague vs Inter Milan in the UCL. Can he hurt them again as he did at the Giuseppe Meazza? wink

He starts from the LW role.

Mumu Valencia missing good chances

They should have sent Chelsea parking

But I guess one of their 2 will be eliminated

Because I am sure Ajax will top this group

Been longing to ask, please my Muslem brothers, why do African Moslems spell their Islamic names differently from the Arabs?

Khalid is spelt Khalidu

Umar - Umaru

Adam - Adamu

Idris - Idrisu

Said - Saidu

on the bold i'm really surprised how etebo just completely lost his scoring touch. someone who scored goals for fun with the u23s and olympic team. even on his debut (i think) against egypt he popped up with a goal just don't understand why this is so. even if we say it's because of the deeper role etebo plays in midfield Aribo has shown that one can still venture forward.

i'm the more puzzled considering from recent past antecedents he has shown an appetite to get forward yet Obi Mikel who barely gets forward had more goals than etebo during rohr coaching stint
That's because Rohr keeps playing him as the deepest midfielder.
He's basically similar to Aribo but he has had to adjust his game to playing deeper.
I think Rohr got this idea of playing him deep from that game against Barca(or was it Madrid?) when he was at Las Palmas.

Bros, he is not anything like Aribo. To understand Etebor playing style better we need to go back to Warri Wolves where he started off under guess who....Aigbogun. Etebor development took a different trajectory because of misuse of his of his style. Etebor is basically one of those players that has a little bit of this and that and it takes a very meticulous tactician to use him appropriately.
In actuality, the best way to describe him is a forward player....but if you ask me where to fit him I will say just behind the striker. It will amount to waste of time to keep playing him as a midfielder because you are basically limiting his potential....he is a born scorer. I no no wetin to talk again

Men always find a thousand and one excuses for men failures. Super Falcons are constantly sent off for tournaments without friendlies and they still manage to put in a good shift on the continent, but CHAN Eagles need to play friendlies with Barcelona and Portugal to win Togo
Aunt you want to go the feminist route? Sorry.

And the female team does well because the rest are shitty. Nothing more.

Nigerian league get tough on player attacks on referees

The organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League are determined to crack down on violence towards match officials
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has given a one-year ban to Nasarawa United's Paul Seun Komolafe for assaulting match officials during a top-flight game against Plateau United.

Komolafe was also found guilty of 'inciting the club supporters to commit violence against match officials.

The team's equipment manager, Aliyu Mohammed Hamzat, has been banned for life from all NPFL match venues and activities for same offence.

The North central club will also have to play their games behind closed doors for an indefinite period and given 10 days to pay a fine of 4,250,000 naira (US$11,700) for breaches of league rules.

The fine includes 1,250,000 naira ($3,500) compensation for the match officials.

Club spokesman Eche Moses was also fined $300 and cautioned for 'releasing or causing to be released, a written press statement unfairly criticising match officials, a conduct deemed capable of bringing the League to disrepute'.

Several attempts to curb violence in the West African nation's local leagues in the past have failed.

The League Management Company (LMC), who organise the NPFL, says it hopes that severe punishments such as these for clubs will serve as deterrent to protect match officials and the country's domestic football.

The LMC was set up in 2012 in an attempt to revive the troubled top-flight of Nigerian football blighted by leadership problems to TV rights and sponsorship disagreements, violence on the pitch, corruption off it and a badly organised calendar.
