Even the Bible made reference to women being submissive, respectful and caring to their husbands while the husband as the head of the house, provides, love and protects her

And that is why I am disgusted by the Bible. The Bible also approves slavery, genocide, homophobia and religious intolerance. No wonder it was used by the white slave master to justify the 400 years of bitter slavery black people suffered in the Americas as well as subjugate, demonize and dominate the black continent.

If this is the book you believe in, I pity you.

Generalization is part of human nature to an extent.

I don't go out enough times to meet a lot of people, and the things I see cause me to be cautious and reserved. I don't doubt there are amazing people out there, I just don't feel confident enough that I will ever find these people.

I found one and I have been married to her for ten years. Was it easy, no!!!! I broke a heart and also had mine broken but I still kept faith till we found ourselves. So in conclusion you got to have faith!!!!! You can't learn to swim without getting into the waters.

God is not the religion. Religion is Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, those are religions. When I say I am not religious, I mean I am not a fanatic. So, when I do things I don't base it on the teachings of any religious books for the most part.

I did not say I am an atheist, I just said I am not religious.

Lol. You are either religious or you are not. You can't eat your cake and have it.grin.

If you said you were a liberal Christian, it would make more sense.

Joe tell them o!!!! The bible say wife's be submissive and husband's love your wife as Christ loved the church!!!!! How did Christ love the church? He died for it!!!!!! He got humiliated and badly beaten for it, he washed it's feet. The man get a bigger role to play but no we rather focus on submission and totally neglect our responsibility. Forgetting that when Christ died for the church, the church did not submit to him, and never gave him any respect. Apologies to the non Christian for wetin I write, no vex abeg for derailing the thread.

Your head dey there brother

I made a post about African men loving their hardworking wives the right way. You hit the nail on the head

What makes sense to you, is subjective. I am not religious, it makes sense to me and I don't need to explain what I mean to someone on the internet, and I will honestly never be able to explain it to anyone.

Liberal Christian seems like a stretch to me, what exactly is a liberal Christian?

I'm a moralist, but not religious.

Stop demonizing carpenters and carpentry. It is a noble profession. Hope you know that the chairperson of first bank, ibukun awosika is in the carpentry business aka furniture making. You make it seem like carpenters are crude, unintelligent people! Forgetting that you have to be innovative and intelligent to do the job well.

Modified: this was meant for your remark about akpeyi and your list.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up the ladder in the latest FIFA Ranking for the month of October released by the world soccer governing body earlier today.

Nigeria moved from 35th position to 31st in the world moving up by four places thanks largely to the back to back AFCON 2021 Qualifiers win. Nigeria defeated Benin Republic 2-1 before seeing off Lesotho 4-2 and both wins have catapulted them to their placement in years.

However the country is still third in Africa behind Senegal who are the highest ranked African nation in placed 20th in the world and Tunisia who are 27th in the global ranking with African Champions Algeria rated below Nigeria in 35th position.

Morocco is ranked 43rd in the world and fifth in Africa with Ghana the sixth best placed Africa nation as they are ranked 47th in the world. Egypt in 51 position, Cameroon in 53rd, Mali in 56th position alongside Congo DR completes the list of top ten ranked African countries.

Globally, Belgium still remained the number one team in the world with World champions France in second position. Brazil, England and Uruguay complete the list of top five ranked football nations by FIFA for October.

I was just waiting for someone to say this. grin.

The truth is, as far as this thread goes, periodic derailment will always come and go. You know why?, because this thread has grown past just mere football banter. It has become something of a family. One big family of faceless strangers. A place where people come to laugh and learn and quarrel and have a good time. Look at how much we have achieved on this group since 2016. Do you think we made it this far by just talking soccer?. Nah bro. It is the drama, the e-fights, the controversy that makes Nairaland Super Eagles thread the number one online destination for us.

So ease up bro and go with the flow.

have we really? the african especially the nigerian still does things that if a foreign invader from europe or asia wanted to attack your country they wouldn't need to lift a finger. people wilfully sabotaging your countries economy, acting as local fronts/spies for other countries enforcing laws that degrade humiliate your citizens list is endless

PrecisionFx:

Millions of Nigerians have shaken off their mental slavery, but that is still not the issue.

If u like be mentally free or be mentally enslaved, The owners of Nigeria still owns it.

Nigeria was 63rd in the world and 10th in Africa when Rohr was hired.

Nigeria is now 31st in the world and 3rd in Africa. We would be higher if Imama could coach.

Nigeria had failed to qualify for 2 AFCONs back to back.

We are now qualifying for tournaments with ease.

Westerhof became Nigeria's coach in 1989, his first trophy was in 1994 and he inherited a team that had just won the AFCON silver in 1988.

Rohr's side is starting to peak. The team is only Nigerian team on the rise. Let us not destroy the momentum. We saw how other national teams performed this year.
