Am glad I found this thread as it broadened my knowledge about phones so much, and so I said my first post on nairaland would be from a Xiaomi phone as it was what made me discover this forum et all..
Decided to try a Xiaomi device so I Got my redmi note 8 4/64 moonlight white on Friday, and to be honest u can never go wrong with this, It's sleek, cool, and beautiful just name it..
Believe me am hooked already and might still pick a Xiaomi phone again when am upgrading, already read all through the thread so already know the do's and don'ts.

You should be able disable ads if they are on inbuilt apps. Any such app that shows ads, simply go to its settings and switch off "recommendations", or have you done that already?
