It's not. You're just used to your faves having power-ups handed to them or training behind the scenes. BnHA still remains one of the best rounded anime of this generation. Everybody gets a bit of the spotlight and the story is in no hurry. I hope they continue like this.

Most anime show progress over time as they are developing the character... If there was some real signs of improvement over the episodes then that would have been reasonable... But over four seasons the dude has been hopeless.. Now his best move is "Shoot Style"... WTF ❓❕

Everyone gets some spotlight, which is actually a good thing, but apparently everyone else but the MC is improving... Everyone's skills are improving slowly and surely, but the Deku just seems to be languishing in perpetual uselessness..

If you think Deku is useless, you've just been looking at your screen for the past 3 seasons without seeing anything.

The main issue here is that Deku has received very little character development. He's still the same crybaby he was in season one. Whereas other characters have improved like Bakugo, Iida, Todoroki etc. Deku is just a boring MC

I honestly don't care that Deku isn't that powerful yet as I hate OP MCs. In fact, one of my biggest problems with the show is that we all know Deku is going to be leagues ahead of his classmates in the future. If you read the manga you'll know that he's going to be way more powerful than All Might ever was. It's kind of annoying to me because when I see Bakugo and the rest giving their all to become more powerful, I start to think 'what's even the point?' when they'll be in the shadow of someone that received an OP quirk that he didn't even earn

This is exactly the point I was trying to make... His development is simply moving waay too slow.. Quite frankly there is no difference with how he was in the first season and now... I think he is even worse now sef, at least in those early stages his reckless fighting style was much better...back when he was spamming smash allover the place. At least even though he was damaging himself, he was still somewhat interesting to watch... He had something to offer... Since he trained with Gran Torino, especially after the whole Stain saga he has just been on a downward spiral, the character hs just been stagnant... Now he is all about shoot style... Smh..

Even other characters are progressing, he has just been stagnant for all of four 3+ seasons...

Well, we will keep watching, we are patiently waiting for when he becomes the GOAT hero

while I do like the otsutsuki, the author of boruto is just trying as much as possible to make naruto into the damsel in distress, and weaken him and sasuke as much as possible so that the new generation can shine through

this thing is turning into another Dragon ball GT all over again, hope we get the equivalent of super in the future.
