This is the most common question people ask on these section. please have it in mind that a Lexus ES is a camry.

The Lexus ES can be attributed as a very luxurious Camry V6 they share a lot of part from Engine to suspension, identical drive train and near performance.

if you want fuel economy then a 4cylinder Camry would do but if you want extra luxury and refinement the ES does it better than camry. just know that ES too has a base trim which some Camry may pack better options than.

i doubt that the 2gr was available as at 2004 in toyota Avalon spotting same gear as all others fitted with 2gr i think the U660E transmission started in 07. it isnt faulty or has a factory defect but quite expensive to replace. I am certain the 07 doesnt because there was no drive train change in the facelift

not a faulty or trashy car but

IS250 is fitted with 4gr engine which is 100k for replacement, slow for a sports sedan but not as bad as a corolla

IS350 is fitted with 2gr fse which is around 1m+ for replacement, also fuel economy is smiles per gallon grin

Good morning guys,

So I bought a tokunbo camry Se that's never been worked on before. Someone advise me not to change the water that came with it.

And is been a month now, I haven't change the water but I feel is not proper.

Pls guru in the house, kindly advise me what to do as regards that. Should I top up water or I should not. What other self maintenance is carried out by car owners?

Your advise will be so helpful.

It's not called water but engine coolant. If low you can top it up with distilled water. However you don't need to change it monthly it could be yearly.

Thanks bro. I said water because I have practically seen people using pump water for their cars.

Thanks again for the correction. I can get this distilled water from an auto shop right??

The ES350 will drive smoother and quieter. Materials will likely also be better.
The Sonata's cabin will feel better put-together, though. It will also have newer technology.

The ES will probably be more reliable and cheaper to own.

Please experts help mr compare these vehicles:
1. Toyota Avensis Verso 2003
2. Mazda 5 2007 or 2008
3. Toyota Picnic 2000

The vehicle will be for family use with occasional long distance travels. The comparison will be in terms of:
1. Durability n reliability
2. Cost and availability of parts. Can I easily get the parts when the need arises irrespective of location?
3. Fuel economy as d vehicle will be used mostly within town.
4. Comfortability especially with children on board

Thanks

Ford focus isn't bad. depends on what you feel is appealing to you. The 206 isn't bad and very fuel efficient. I did prefer the 206 to the focus manual to manual.

have been in both but only driven the 206 but looks more modern both interior and exterior than the zx5. though seems the focus is more loaded

Mazda parts are expensive and can be headache to source. you will be better off with picnic or avensis verso.

The picnic in the market you will come across are like to be factory fitted LHD than the avensis verso which majority are RHD converted

the picnic is cheaper than the avensis verso engine

the avensis is more appealing and looks cool and recent than the picnic. though both have identical interior seating and cargo holding capacity.

the picnic metamorphosized into the avensis verso for a particular model year. what is left is for you to pick and appealing design and pay for it

Thank you very much @nurey. You are doing a wonderful job here.

I also observed than Avensis Verso has rear AC vent which I consider a plus unlike Picnic that does not have.

Does the verso engine any peculiar problem, that's 1AZ-FE engine?
