Hello, I sent you a message. Kindly respond when you can
Silversurfer1:

You made it your business when you said she can't walk this journey alone, meaning she needs her husband to scale through this process which is totally false. Imagine suggesting an adult stop a life changing decision just because you feel shes unable to achieve a simple process on her own. Did she tell you her soon to be ex-husband wants to move to Canada? Abi she will just walk up to him one of these days and say "babe, abeg let's stop this divorce proceeding. I need these scores for Express Entry, so go and write IELTS and assess your degree, afterwards we can continue this process in court. You're the best babe *muah'*". I really don't understand how Nigerians think. It baffles me

I think I replied your email after you sent this comment. Please let me know how the new one goes

jpj:

Hello, so we finally heard from them but unfortunately it seemed as if my letter was not read at all and a generic mail was sent insisting that my case was closed stating that if I have a new information, I should enter into the pool. I replied them back circling the part on my GCMS note written by my VO that no additional document was submitted so my case won't be reopened as the reason for my getting a new reference letter from my employer. I have been trying to send you an email but it keeps bouncing back. Needed to update you on my challenge. Hope you have finally landed Canada?

Hello all,
My fellow AVO pipu how una dey? I heard from a little bird that AVO's output is usually in the first quarter of the year... Na true? My spouse and I are currently 8 months post AOR. I'm beginning to understand the term patience is a virtue better everyday. May God touch AVO's heart and release a rain of PPR as Ottawa is doing currently. Meanwhile congratulations to all that have made it.

I just knew I would miss a very important announcement during my absence here. The tears of joy I am shedding right now ehn. I am so so happy for you. Congratulations!!! You did not deserve the long tiring wait but God knows best. His plans are better. The eagle has finally landed and it has ended in praise. Just know that it is not how far or 'fast', it's how well. Delayed PPR processing has no impact on integration and future well being in Canada. You're intelligent, organized and selfless so I have no doubt you would do well in our new country. I wish you all the best in your landing preps.

pejuhazel:
My PPR finally landed!!!
I cannot write as much as is expected but I'll try to put every relevant information here. I typed my testimony since April but I abandoned it when I heard nothing.
IELTS:
first attempt Sept 2018 8.5,8,9,6 LSRW
2nd attempt Oct 2018 8.5,8,9,8 LSRW
ECA:
I used WES since it was foreign degree and it was very straightforward, took about 17 days.
ITA: November 15 2018
Police Report: UK and Nigeria, also straightforward.
POF: 60% was gift from my dad so he did a gift deed while the rest came from my husband who wrote a letter that I had unrestricted access to it as I am the PA. We put the money in a fixed deposit and submitted the letter from the bank.
ADR: I got the Accra famous 5 on the 25th of April, submitted on the 27th and was waiting for PPR to drop in 2 weeks cos that was the trend then, well It didn't.
The Wait
This was horrendous and painful especially when people who submitted same time or after I did started landing in Canada. I started following this thread in Part 2, submitted in Part 6 and was hoping and praying that my wait won't be this long but here I am in Part 9 sharing my testimony. So if you're like me and the wait is getting to you, don't be sad it'll come.
Thank you @ladymarshal, @pyruvateluv, @Canadahome and everybody else who has taken time to answer my questions or ask about me. May God bless and answer all your prayers.
After 10 months and 7 days, Accra finally answered.
Timeline:
ITA: Nov 15th
AOR: Dec 31st
ADR: April 25th
PPR: Nov 7th

Honestly, I must tender my unreserved apology to members of this group for neglecting this forum all these while, since I landed in Canada since June. I know we were all in this boat together at one point in time grin. In fact my attitude has shown somewhat being ungrateful but that isn't the case really. I was only carried away and I've been very busy. You know, I've passed the excitement phase of the journey, and I'm currently in the depression state at the moment. You know, I've been out of job for over three weeks now and I mean we thank God sha. At least, I'm still able to pay my bills without qualms grin. So please pardon me.

I promise to keep tab on the post and always find time to give my insight and advise on how things are being done. By the way, I think I've somehow active on the "Living in Canada as a Parmanent Resident " thread. Perhaps the thing got into my head grin. I'm sorry.

So, let's roll it.

Congratulations to all the PPRs, the CoPRs and the PRs in the house.

ladymarshall:
Thanks for this, although I can't seem to find it on page 1.
That's because it did a disappearing act. angry Here is what I know: I was suspended from the thread on Wednesday 11th and I immediately noticed that the post was gone. shocked I had to recheck a few times to be sure. What I'm not sure of is if something or someone removed it. Either way; that's over 3 hours of work scanning through tens of pages and attaching links on my phone, down the drain. undecided I wasn't going to say anything until someone noticed which I knew was a matter of time. Now, you have.

Time hasn't allowed me to update all these while, I'm doing that now. I realized that and Yemblaze confirmed it, which was the reason for the move as some members were asking for the update. I guess I was way in over my head to think the update was there to stay.

How's the wait? Milady, it's been a real test of patience accompanied by a whirlwind of emotions. undecided I'm eagerly looking forward to your announcement. Thank you so much, I appreciate that. It's good to have you back. grin

bankyh1905:
ATTENTION!!!

Links to PPR scripts have been established and new members have been inducted to the HALL OF FAME.

Kindly proceed to my post on Page 1 to read.

Enjoy.

First thing you should do is go through page 1 of this thread. A summary is you need to start processing your BSc degree with WES and then register for the IELTS general as you cannot enter thew pool without this 2 documents.

Also regarding your family business, confirm if you have enough digital footprint for the last 3 years showing you working and carrying out various activities.

Welcome to the journey.

thanks for ur response, please is my one year predegree result enough to proof i hv two certificates, also i don’t get d digital footprint aspect but basically we buy large tons of vegetable oil from producers den supply wholesales and retails, can it fly?

Hello house, please I need advice
28yrs last month
Bsc holder
6 yrs working experience
My husband is 37yrs old
MSc holder
We have both submitted our degrees to WES for ECA and we are waiting results
Registered for IELTS for January
Because I am younger I intend to be PA but because I don’t have masters using the CRS tool our best score would be around 450
Seeing the trend of 470 cutoff for ITA what is our best option ? Should I register for a diploma to get additional points ? Do we focus on PNP ?
We do not have any PR relatives and my field of study is English while his is accounting and marketing.

Any help will be appreciated. God bless you all

I intend applying as PA based on my age but because I do not have a masters our best score would be around 450
With the current trend of 470 cutoff what can we do to obtain ITA ? Should we focus on PNP ? Should I get a diploma ?
And if you suggest PNP using law firms like Canadim can it secure us PNP ? We do not have any PR relatives so any ideas or advice on what to do next will be very helpful.

God bless you all

You will need to get an additional certificate like CIMA, ACCA, BCS (these 3 because they don't take much time to get). If you don't want to go that route you may then consider PNP. In my opinion, you do not need to use those law firms because it is something you can do yourself, it saves you money. Moreover, using them does not guarantee you getting a Provincial Nomination.

Hope this helps

Thank you for your response, I’ll do some research on these degrees you mentioned. Will they give me enough extra points to get into 470 range plus will I be able to complete them before turning 30 ?

Yes, you will. Depending on your aptitude, it shouldn't take up to a year sef. As you're looking at this, your spouse should start the Masters evaluation ASAP (takes a while), and you guys should start preparing for your IELTS.

You can do a certification like CIMA or BCS. It rakes a shorter time than diploma especially CIMA. I am currently working towards CIMA too.

I am 30 (by January)
Only BSc
Brother is a PR tho

Current score is 453

like many have advised you go for a quick diploma. Those law firms will only take your money over 4000 cad . They cant secure any pnp for you that you dont qualify for.

Canada was trending yesterday after the Tories won and it wasn't British people of Indian descent I saw tweeting. Like us here in Naij, not everyone will qualify for it, but those who have the means will. Canada has their type of system and they will be drawn to that prospect
