You made it your business when you said she can't walk this journey alone, meaning she needs her husband to scale through this process which is totally false. Imagine suggesting an adult stop a life changing decision just because you feel shes unable to achieve a simple process on her own. Did she tell you her soon to be ex-husband wants to move to Canada? Abi she will just walk up to him one of these days and say "babe, abeg let's stop this divorce proceeding. I need these scores for Express Entry, so go and write IELTS and assess your degree, afterwards we can continue this process in court. You're the best babe *muah'*". I really don't understand how Nigerians think. It baffles me
This is so not funny, but I laughed out so loud.
Like seriously? cheesy

Is your school Unilag?
teesquad007:
Not, WES told they will have sent second verification to my institution. I just have to exercise patience with them. I wasn't just happy that they have already given completion date and suddenly change my status to another verification.

Hello experts in the house! I am about to board the pool with my spouse who happens to be the PA. However, my IELTS result by January 20 shall clock 2 years since I sat for it.

Seniors in the house, please advice if I should enroll for another IELTS as our CRS (470) is likely to earn us ITA in the very next round? Possibly, before my last IELTS results clock 2 years (January 20)

Please advice!

On this LLB issue, is it sufficient to submit my LLM (UK) degree only for evaluation with WES or must I submit my LLB too?

I advise you enroll for another IELTS because nobody knows what the cutoff will be for the next round especially if no draw is held again this year... Also, IELTS isn't locked after ITA.. except you're submitting immediately after ITA..

Just register for another IELTS and try to max your points.. all the best

Ghost Update: November 19th
PPR Mail – November 20th

Dear Immi-diary,
I am/was in the office, today the 22nd of July and I haven’t received any update on my CIC profile, but I decided to write this well, because its been a slow day at work and I m trusting God for speedy PPR.

Decision to travel
Honestly, I thought that I would marry a certain gentleman who went to the US to study and had remained there. Marriage to him would have meant I would relocate to Trump land. Well, that hasn’t happened seeing that we re still both single (oh update 19th November – He is seeing someone now so that’s cancelled) and I m on my way to getting my Canadian PR. After my Masters, I decided that I would pursue a PHD, possibly get a tenure/track position and start teaching from there.

I wrote the GRE in 2016, ordered for my transcript, and applied to only one school – UPenn. Their communication program is one of the top programs globally and I was certain, I was going to get in after all bright girl – Yes? Oh boy I got rejected! I was quite pained. I said to myself that I would try again and so the next year I rewrote GRE, got better scores, and applied to 3 schools.
I even wrote IELTS Academics. That one I had LRSW – 8.5, 7.5,8,7.5. After all that was said and done, rejection, rejection rejection! This time it had started to chip at my self-esteem. I thought I was an intelligent lass, what was wrong? To cut the long story short, I applied again in 2018 to 4 schools (3 rejected, 1 put me on their wait list and later rejected), I just said to myself, it seems this PhD life isn’t for me. Besides I wasn’t certain that I wanted to pursue it at the time, so I pulled out my plan B.

My best friend had started her own Canadian FSW process in November 2017 and I was rooting for her to leave soon. Thankfully she is leaving this October after waiting over a year, almost 2. Updated – she left with her hubby and my God daughter on the 18th of October
Ah, I digress, please refill your glass of chilled water, the story is still long. July 2018 and one of my colleagues; Mrs N. was tinkering with the immigration idea and when she started the process, I would find her engrossed on the Nairaland thread and I wondered why the immense interest, apparently, she was busy doing research on the process. One day, while we were discussing, she told me about one of our senior colleagues (shout-out to Sis Y) who had relocated the previous year and she was willing to put me through the process if I wanted. I answered positively.
Mrs N was convinced that I wasn’t all serious about it and warned me that Sis Y didn’t play when pushing people to achieve a goal once she was conscripted on any matter. I took my 2018 annual vacation and travelled to the US, when I returned I decided that I would take steps to do the needful. That’s how I started the process. I already had my complete POF in an investment and I quickly paid for WES in January this year.

ECA
I registered and paid for WES on the 17th of January 2019 and I reached out to my University to send my transcript. It appeared that this was a regular type of request for the school as I didn’t need to ask for much before my transcript was sent. I also mailed my certificate and the WAEC verification process was a breeze. Then Wes sent the mail to my university for verification my Uni responded on time but WES, didn’t update my profile. That’s how I started chasing WES with phone calls because I was expectant. I called them almost every day for about 3 weeks. In fact, one of the agents must have known my name. I called one time and she just started laughing. She said, “I know, I know, we have seen it now” The next week, my profile was updated, and I was given the expected date of completion - 16th of April 2019. I danced like it was PPR.

IELTS
Aka the respecter of none and the humbler of many. As a smart babe, I wrote IELTS with the expectation that I would only write it once, because I had written the Academic version in 2017 and I had an overall 8 band. I even scored a 7.5 in writing. I wrote my first GT IELTS on Feb 14, 2019. The day I checked the result, I almost cried LRSW- 8.5,8.5,8.6.5. but I was positive that I write well so I applied for a remark. Who sai!! After four weeks, it came back unchanged.
I lost my grand mom, sometime in February and I wasn’t keen on spending more money as I had to support my mom with her part of the burial expenses, God used my colleague Mrs N to support my ministry with half the amount for my second IELTS. God bless you my darling. You can be sure that I will carry plenty dried fish for you when I am coming. The exams were booked for the 6th of April 2019. I was nervous and ill during my speaking test (look at me justifying my 7 in speaking).

When the result came out on the 19th of April – I was driving home with my mom after a church program, we stopped briefly to purchase something, and I checked online. LRSW- 8.5,9,7,7. I danced all the way back home after that. My mom was dancing with me while warning me to keep my eyes on the road as she had not carried her grandkids yet. Lol. My lovely dramatic mum. I will absolutely miss her when I leave (Thank God for parents’ super visas)
There was a draw on the 17th which I missed because of my IELTS result but when I dived into the pool, my CRS was 459, I did some permutation and combination and figured that the next draw would be on the 1st of May 2019 all things being equal. I booked my medicals with QLife for the 13th of May as that was the earliest date I could get which wouldn’t conflict with sister flo.

ITA – gotten as planned. 1st of May draws CRS cutoff was 450. Thanks to Almighty God especially as the scores after that became higi-haga-ish”

MEDICALS & PCC
I took the day off work and got to Qlife at 6am, Parked on the street adjacent to the clinic and headed inside to write my name. I was done by 10 and I headed to Alagbon to process my PCC with ASP Moshood. I also completed that before noon – I parted with 5k. I met a guy also processing his, we agreed we wouldn’t pay more than 4k but I guess I was genuinely happy with how fast it was ready I gave extra 1k. ASP is such a pleasant guy. Wish him the very best.

POST ITA
Dear Immi- diary, I had collated all my documents weeks before getting my ITA thanks to Mrs N’s advice. She got her PPR on the day I wrote my first IELTS, so she really guided me with putting together my documents for submission. I had created folders and scanned all the documents I had available (work reference, POF, Passport etc) weeks before ITA, so once I got my medicals and PCC done, I asked my two specialists to eyeball the application and then I submitted on the 16th of May.

POST AOR
MEP/BIL was cleared on the 22nd of June and 27th June respectively and since then it’s been waiting for the golden mail. _ Last written 21st August 2019

Two days to 5Months Post AOR (14th October)
Dear ImmiD, this wait shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! God knows I need something to occupy my time. In the last few months, I ve interviewed for two fantastic roles within multinationals and didn’t get any. One said they had decided to go with an internal candidate and the other said I came across as a flight risk (isn’t it true though, I would have left in a couple of months) despite getting to the last stage in both places.
I have joined several Whatsapp groups with really special people but none beats the April/May 2019 group – goodness, I haven’t met such set of individuals before – everyone literally has your back.. I can’t say it enough; these guys make time fly by so nicely. Even though, some of us have gotten theirs, we are hopeful that soon we ll all get this thing. We ve even decided to rename the group “Living in Canny April/May cohort” or something like that. I love you guys. You would wake up to over 500 messages and no PPR announcement, just people living their best lives while waiting. We ll all celebrate soon. God willing.

PPR
October is the quite a special month for me in many ways, I was born in October, In church, we have a month long fast in October and its quite refreshing spiritually, so I wasn’t surprised when I woke up in the night on the __________ of October to pee, and I picked my phone as usual (as par company in the rest room) Written in faith – October 3rd 2019.

Updated –
Guysssss! I struck the 6 months timeline on the 16th of November and it was a Saturday. That day I had mixed feelings especially because the last time I wrote, I was writing in faith that I would get it before the end of October. Well it didn’t happen, but we thank God. My April/May AOR group has been quite active with PPR announcements, I have been genuinely happy for everyone, some days would be rough, some other days would be tough (Oshe see rhymes) but I knew that it would go around. In October though, something significant happened I think I had a “revelation” as to when it would come. 3rd week in November is what the Lord ministered to me. Now, I usually have a work-related thing every 3rd week in November and so I figured it would happen that way as I was ministered to. Brethren, I woke up on the 19th of November and one of my people on the AOR group had made her PPR announcement and said that I would be next, I was seating on the toilet seat when I decided to check my profile. I saw that my profile had been updated. Phew!! Guys I started crying. You don’t even want to know. I was crying, I called my mom, she was crying with me and I was just grateful to God.

And then it landed!!! I woke up to pee on the 20th and boom! The email was sitting pretty in my email. God doesn’t lie, if he says it, he will do it. I am immensely grateful to God for everything. I am also thankful that my immi-diary days are over. I want to say thanks to a few people, Mrs N, Mrs A, My April/May AOR family and everyone that gave part of themselves to my process. God bless you guys and see you in our new home. Oh! And my Accra people, weary not, God has brought us all this far, soooon, we will share your PPR stories. God bless us all.

Heartfelt post. Congratulations , go and conquer cannyland

Thank you very much. Very detailed.

Here's a step by step breakdown for Pharmacists. It has already been posted on page 1 but there are minute changes to the fees

First thing is to register on Pharmacy gateway (http://www.pharmacistsgatewaycanada.ca) and pay 93k to get what is called a NAPRA ID. Then afterwards, register on pebc (www.pebc.ca) with 183k for your Pharmacy degree document evaluation. You'll then download 2 forms; one is a form containing your details you filled on the PEBC website and another form called the "ECA report form".
PS: Keep your email safe because all communications with PEBC will be via this route

Apply to PCN to send your licensing statement (Letter of Good standing) directly to PEBC if currently licensed. This costs 50k. (30k for the statement and 20k for courier)

Apply to your school to send your Bpharm Transcript directly to PEBC

Notarize with a commisionerof oath or lawyer the online application form, ECA report form, certified true copy of your Pharmacy university certificate, Intl passport data page, marriage certificate (if any), change of name if name on application is different from any of the names on the supporting documents. Then package and send via post/courier to the following PEBC address

717 Church Street,
Toronto, ON M4W 2M4, Canada

Wait for an acknowledgement email from them (PEBC) on receiving all documents from the two institutions (Your University transcript and the licensing statement) and your supporting documents (Takes about 4 weeks from the time the last document was delivered).

After the acknowledgment email, it'll take another 4 weeks for PEBC to complete your evaluation. You can send them a mail to enquire the status of your application. The ECA will then be sent to your address you filled during the application. If it is a Nigerian one, it'll take about 2 to 3 weeks to get the report. But if a Canadian or US address, it'll be delivered within 5 days

Use the information to then create your Express Entry profile.

What you will need to apply:

• A valid Visa or MasterCard for the full application fee cos payments are online
• Your Username and Password if you have previously applied for a pebc pharmacist exam
• Cookies enabled on your browser to ensure your information is private and secure

If you are a first time applicant:
A NAPRA ID number acquired by enrolling in the NAPRA Gateway (check the Pharmacy gateway address above)
Once you have completed the online portion of the application you must:

Print the PDF version of the application provided
Follow the application instructions for Document Evaluation.
Mail or courier the paper application and required documents (trsnscripts, licensing statement) to pebc
If you complete the online portion of the application but do not print and send pebc the paper application via courier, your application will be withdrawn or
You will be charged an administrative fee of $150CAD

PS: Ensure you prepare and write your IELTS within this time frame and achieve a CLB9 and above to get a high CRS score

Bro enter pool ASAP. If you're eventually drawn by God's grace, so be it. Remember, if we try we might win but if we don't we have lost.

He can enter the pool with that result, but the results must be valid as at AOR so he needs to rewrite to be on the safer side except he has everything ready and is ready to submit a few hours after ITA. But then draws these days are rather unpredictable.

Its Cyprus. Although the second time he applied, he got the visa.
