hate speech bill was not passed because it will somehow affect them..

It is not because of any action that was taken by the citizens..
Not completely true. Public outcry played a key role.

Nice move. This would help to spread federal projects. Not the normal winner takes all attitude.

Whereby the president zones projects to only areas that voted for him

You can rely on Major General Muhammadu Buhari on this, he will never sign such a useless and self serving bill. You can count on him.

PDP's bill backed by APC thieves. If not for efforts of some enlightened few that are holding the lawmakers we know, most of the constituency development projects in progress could have been abundant and monies syphon. The guys are not eating like before o. As a minister, if u want to chop,Baba no they gree, so how will they eat(chop) when u that is in the pot haven't belle full. Oversight functions no juicy as before so man need to create another strategy to eat.

Good one.. as long as they only nominate the projects and don't get paid. Then it's win win

It's now left to stupid constituents to dull themselves when they need little road and transformers or borehole
.
That's how they want us to believe it will be. But reality is that the implementing agencies will be brought to the senate under guise of scrutiny if they do not give a huge chunk of the budget to the senate through the back door. Senate will threaten them behind closed doors (in kangaroo senate committee oversight sessions). Before you know it senate will be getting 50% of the budget. Or directly through back door to the senator of the senatorial district.
If corruption shenanigan leaks and we the public complain, they will call for our heads in the name of hate speech law.

Principal officers will have more expensive projects given to their districts and therefore more money into own pockets.

Did you see them mention how the projects and funds will be tightly controlled and vetted to avoid corruption? No!

9ja politicians are very predictable in their greed by now.

“It is instructive to note by way of educating the general public that members of the National Assembly merely identify the needs of the constituents and recommend same to the executive during budgeting.

Audio projects. The Nigeria law should be amended so that d execution of projects will be vested solely on d president, governors nd local govt chairmen, National Assembly members shouldn't be executing projects, they focus in law making nd amending. This project execution is an avenue tru which they siphone money cos at d end they won't execute any project
