Concluding part of my journey to PPR. See Part 1.
____________________________________________________________________________________
The Wait - I had wished for PPR to come within 2 months but IRCC had a different plan. The first month after biometrics was done was the most stressful. I would wake up in the morning expecting the golden mail.

The WhatsApp group and this thread were the two platforms I spent time to cope with the loneliness and feelings of anxiety. Since I joined the thread in Part 5, I made sure to read every page, post by post and did my share of contributions.

During this period, I raised CSEs 7 times (response was usually within a week), sent a mail to Ralph and Ottawa once. This is all because I dont do well with information asymmetry and the account was very vague with info.

1st CSE - to ask for my VO (Response said Ottawa).

2nd CSE - to ask why I couldnt access the job bank (informed that was because I had submitted my application).

3rd CSE - to add details of a 6-month internship period I had in my fourth year, which I thought was necessary because I had included the work experience on my LinkedIn page.

2 months post-AOR, I ordered for GCMS notes and got a mail 3 weeks later that IRCC had extended it by 90 days. I was distraught. I was given an option to order for CBSA notes but I wasn't interested.

5th CSE (12 weeks post-AOR) - This was to know my application status. Got a response 6 days later that Criminal background verification is still valid and that eligibility requirements and security background verification had not been initiated. Sent a mail to Ralph the same day in the morning before the CSE response arrived and got the same response 12 hours later.

5th CSE same request as the 4th. Response came back eligibility requirement verifications ongoing, security background verification not yet initiated. I saw that as progress.

6th CSE application was now 4 months old. Response came back that eligibility requirement verifications and background verifications in ongoing. Yet another progress. Around the same period, I noticed that someone viewed my LinkedIn profile in Private Mode. I suspected it was IRCC.

I raised the 7th CSE earlier on Friday, not knowing PPR was on its way.

Afterwards I sent a mail to Ottawa directly and response said that application was in queue to be reviewed by an officer. By November ending, I decided I will stop sending CSEs as I believed Ottawa has heard enough from me. At this point, I was becoming numb, yet expectant. Weird, right? I know. I continued to check my account randomly for any sign of changes. No joy.

Fast forward to our WhatsApp group in the second week of December, people were getting GUs while two persons had already gotten PPR. I became apprehensive as nothing changed on my account. During the period, one of us Auriferous (meaning "containing/producing gold) proved herself to be an awesome lady by encouraging me to call IRCC, to the extent that she gave me her details to the app she used - iPlum. She only needed to be sure her login details are safe with me, and I answered in the affirmative. I tried all day on Tuesday 10th but couldnt connect. The call didn't even go through something with the network. I finally gave up. I tried another app, Viber, which took $2.99 of my money but I couldnt call with it too. That amounted to a waste of money. That night, I tried logging into my account to see if there has been any changes but was not successful. I cleared cache several times as usual no joy. Something told me maybe, your profile is being worked on." Earlier on Friday, I listened to a recorded call between Auri and an IRCC agent, telling her that her application has been approved, sent to the office in Nigeria and that they'll send a mail when they're ready and that she should pack her bags and prepare to come to Canada. Oh boy, that was music to my hears. We agreed that it was the same for me, with faith.

2nd GU (December 11) - I was on my way to work via BRT as usual when another group member, Ifeoma (Married woman/iela19) announced her PPR. Auriferous quickly chatted me up again, telling me well try calling again today. I was like yeepa, I dont want to go through this again. I kept trying to log into my account unsuccessfully. Dubem came along and said she has a GU. Immediately, I became very anxious. You see, Dubem and I have the same AOR, we did biometrics the same day and our applications are Ottawans. Who knows, maybe we have the same VO. The same Agent once responded to our CSEs. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. Finally, I logged in and saw the GU showing as Profile Updated where it usually shows submitted, same as Dubems. I quickly informed the group and the jubilation continued.

PPR - So Auriferous got a GU, then Dubem and I did the second day. We had thought the prêt pour visa mail would drop thet next day, as it did for Emeka, a member of the group. I started to carry the biometrics slips and International Passport in my sidebag hoping for the mail to drop before Friday. On Friday evening, I was chatting with Auriferous that evening and she optimistic the mail will drop that night. I said, latest next week. 2 mins before the mail dropped,, I snoozed off. By the time I woke at 3:15am on Saturday, I saw a missed call on my call phone with no name. I checked it up on Truecaller and saw that it was Auriferous. I knew something was up. Immediately I put "ultra battery" on browsing phone, messages started trickling in. I saw whatsapp messages like "someone should call him o" and "Plix wake up and check ur inbox jor". BeforeI I could check my mail, the golden mail popped up on the screen and I saw "CPCO-FinalRequest. I didn't know how to behave, it was midnight and I couldn't shout. For sometime, I was shaking and tears of joy welled in my eyes. The Almighty has answered my prayers.

Vote of Thanks (this started in the previous paragraph with Auriferous) I wish to appreciate the elders on this forum especially Ladymarshall and Topsmamen. Your inputs are priceless.

My July AOR group members, you guys rock. Im really looking forward to meeting everyone. I know we all have unique and interesting stories and I want to hear them all.

Debo (Daybour) - Thank you for encouraging me to create the group. I pray that your application @ AVO is processed successfully in good time.

Abychick
- It was nice seeing you and Dubem for the first time at VFS office. I appreciate our private conversations - you helped to keep me calm during the waiting period. Thanks for sending the list of documents to take to VFS for visa.

Dubem - I always look forward to reading from you, with your introductory Hi hi. Youre a darling. We probably have the same Visa Officer.

Temidayo - You always make me laugh each time we chat. You know, you could make a career out of comedy. I also noticed youre a very observant and instinctive individual. A lady of multiple talents, you are.

Yemblaze - Sister. Or should I say Boss. Thank you for the opportunity you gave me to contribute to this thread. Youre a very selfless human being. Your word of caution about thanking God for his favours each time I complain about one issue or the other will always ring true in my heart. Ill be here to celebrate with you when you get your PPR. Thank you for all that you do on this thread. Im expecting my shekere dancers.

Bazbaby - Sister, I pray that your application at AVO be processed smoothly, in a short time with a successful outcome. Thank you for always checking up on me.

Yesyde and Esther - Ladies, thank you for your moral support, we'll celebrate with you soon enough.

To everyone reading this from this group you all made the wait worthwhile. I had to pin the group at the top, so I wouldnt miss any message.

To everyone on this thread who are still waiting for the golden mail, trying to pass IELTS, receive ECA report & awaiting ITA: hang in there, we'll celebrate with you soon.

As this thread promotes DIY, nothing beats personal research. As we say on this thread, it'll end in praise for everyone. Remember, do your best to submit a straightforward application. Cheers!!!

Lol.. Banky, I warned you!

And your excellency @Justwise, I can't stop wondering why antispambot will wrongly start tagging PPR gists as spam.

Others might want to know what to avoid while compiling their stories.

Maybe because PPR stories contains the same acronyms many people use on this thread. And you know what adds salt to the injury? The fact that people quote the whole PPR story, which in clear terms is spamming the thread.

I also want to ask does it matter if the person giving you has the capacity to earn such amount, or it’s just the relationship that matter. I usually think the person account statement should be able to show that.

Jaybye:
Sir, when it's Gift Deed, the time it came in does not matter. Just ensure it's coming from someone whose relationship with you can not be easily questioned by your eventual case officer. Best options include your dad, mum,
and siblings or those of your spouse, if you're married. I'm not saying one can't get from cousins or friends, but I'll discourage anything that will easily link one and village people yet again.. And of course, you do not want any cause for worry post-ITA should your application/PPR linger far too long.

Thanks a lot
CanadaPR:

You can proceed if you wish. You will not be banned as you never falsified any information. If your report says 1 year Diploma, claim 1 year study at a University in your ee profile and then fill you BSC separately and claim points for that. Attach LOE stating Diploma is on page x and Bsc is on page y.

If you are not comfortable with this and your score is very high, you can decline in January and do what makes you feel okay.
I will advise that you do not decline yet because you might never know what surprises January holds.

You're welcome. Hope you didn't decline your ITA? You are absolutely fine with a LOE..... A lot have gotten PPR with your kind of ECA.

Secondly, you can contact WES to update your report with the 2nd credential and they'll do so within few days.

Sir what if you're getting it from an Aunt (cousin to mum) to be precise?
Is there any proof you will need to show?

Also can you combine two deed gifts (probably from Brother and an Aunt) as described above.
