They didn't know. I'm a genius. I knew they didn't know. My parents had a lot of money and I knew when to steal from them .

Well, I'm forced to comment. I'm still in school though (tertiary).

I read numerous comments on this colloguy and actually discovered very few reasons why most students indulged in such double-dealings:
1. To be a 'big boy/girl' on a stolen money. No matter how it is sugar-clothed, it is a stolen money.
2. To please sb. (a girl or boyfriend).
3. Discontent and greed.

First of all, I'm not a big boy. Actually, you see lying to parents? I can't do it myself. I'm not trying to evince self-righteousness but here are my reasons:
1. My family is not opulent. How could I defraud them when it is quite onerous for them to pay the 'main' fees most times? How could I when I contribute to the larger part of the payment of my fees? How can I defraud me?
2. My conscience (religious-wise) will not let me..

Second, I had no time for relationships (not ready for marriage, so why). I made distinctions each semesters so I was well-known in my school coupled with the fact that I won the first school debate against all other department's best students..I think, this gave more rise to my fame.

What I do is type/sell projects to course mates; do assignments; help during exams; home tutoring.. I re-taught Maths..and English (especially expository) to students at the mercy of their voluntary donation too (sometimes I charge). All thanks to my days as a school teacher. As a course-rep. too, very honest as I could be, I made a reputation of not ever defrauding students who pay for handouts..and helped my colleagues anyway I could to excel. I think this gave me stipends too (more of airtime).

I learnt sth in tertiary school.., and I think 'tis the impoverished people who learn this the hard way: always be contented, focused and humble..and make sure of the more important things.

On internship now though. Life's 'ungood.'

I just padded few things like school fees and house rent by 50-60%. I didn't do this to feel like a big boy but rather I had too much pride to ask for pocket money from them, so the % padding served as my pocket money. I rarely spent on women, I didn't have a real girlfriend till 400lvl. The few female friends I had don't disturb me for money and my real girlfriend was quite comfortable as well, so she didn't ask me for much. I lived a balanced life in school. I worked and saved(side hustle) to buy the TV and sound system and few other room gadgets in my room.

I only did a bad thing after I graduated. I wanted to upgrade my phone, so I told my mom I needed 20k for school and NYSC clearance.

NB: My parents are quite comfortable, they can give me almost anything but my pride won't make me ask for it. I just decided to do that because I wanted to do one mischievous thing before I stand on my own(leave school).
