I said all these because from the first page when you started this thread, some people asked you how you got you visa and wished you could give advice to those who wish to come to the US.

You have deliberately refused to answer this question. This is page 12 of the thread and I know you will never answer the question.

I have also questioned this and he can't answer because he is obviously there on a tourist visa and intends to stay illegally beyond its 6 months tenure.

That's what he's calling grace and providence . Unless he has some magical way of converting it to a longer term visa that he is not letting on to.

But for sure OP is collecting grace on a touristy visa.

You're taking about a correctional officer, right? I'll like to know if the job is safe cause I remember someone in franknetter's thread who quit that job cause some set of inmates beat up his co-worker

The problem is usually from the inmates.You have to be street smart to deal with them.If you are not careful they might lure you into crime that will put you in jail ie a packet of cigarette is less than $7 in the stores but you can smuggle it in and sell for a minimum of $100 ,they can jump on you if you are too harsh on them or too close to them...The best thing is to be very very alert when dealing with them because most of them have very deep mental problems.Afterall what would make a normal person to intentionally engage in crime in a country where the government had taken care of your most immediate needs

Lol, you are very right . As a nigerian in this current climate , you don’t make a post of immigration to another country without posting the actual immigration process because it just kind of defeats the whole purpose . Most of the people I have seen come into the US legally with their papers recently is either through marriage or family sponsorship ( which takes many years by the year). Other categories are available , but for Nigerians those are the main ways they come in with immigrant visa.
