This confirms an autocratic and dictator nature of this man and that he has not changed a bit. He does not deserve to lead a democratic society. Worst part is that he is also a tribalist. |

So how then it is easy to fight corruption in Western world. The reason it is difficult here is strong institutions are not built. Can you picture DSS investigating a sitting President like FBI did to Trump. The Congress is already giving him a grief for his missteps, can you picture that with our own do that Buhari. Democracy isn't for everyone. That's why many countries don''t practice it and whatever government they are operating works for them. The white man introduced it to us cos it working for them. Example of a law that would work for 9ja is, If you are caught stealing, It an offence punishable by "death". This is a perfect law for 9ja considering the fact that we like to steal ans are selfish. With democracy, the same people who will make this law will never allow it cos it will affect. That's the issue we facing typically. 1 Like |

Re: Buhari: Democratic Process ‘Too Slow For My Liking’ by ColonelEmeka: 8:31pm On Dec 17, 2019 |
GEEBITE: It is easier there because their Judiciary is not corrupt like ours. The DSS here can actually investigate Buhari because they are answerable to the Attorney General and not Buhari same way the FBI is answerable to their Attorney generals and not to Trump. You need to read up 1 Like |

I wonder why people are quick to point at Dasuki's continued detention as a sign of anti-democracy nature of Buhari. Al-Mustapha was in detention for how many years again? These are military people... It's a family matter which is best understood by them alone. There was a reason why Abdulsalami Abubarkar detained Al-Mustapha till he was released by Jonathan. The same reason is playing out with Dasuki..... #IfYouKnowYouKnow |

That is the plain truth that the criminals don't want to hear. People like fayose, metu, ffk, melaye, atiku, kanu, etc would have been in the prison by now. God bless buhari |

gaskiyamagana:I'm sure it makes you feel good to believe such things, but they are manifestly untrue. Many of us who feel nothing but contempt for Buhari are neither affiliated with the cesspool of corruption that is the PDP, nor motivated by petty tribal loyalty to the incompetent thief GEJ; we either lived through Buhari's first tenure in 1983-1985, or learned the history most Nigerian schools apparently don't bother to impart anymore, which is why we knew what to expect from Buhari in terms of respect for rule of law, and it doesn't take more than a passing familiarity with economics to appreciate just how utterly wrong-headed so many of Buhari's policies are - import bans, an ever-widening gap between the "official" and market-based exchange rate, sudden border closures, a foreign borrowing spree to fund subsidized railways ... If you think the Goodluck "Ebele" Jonathan diehards who despise Buhari because he defeated their adopted kinsman are the majority of his detractors, you're living in a dream world! 4 Likes 2 Shares |
