I need directions on how to go about my current status.
I have done my IELTS with 6.5 score band, educational evaluation by Wes, I have an uncle living in Manitoba, work experience in Teaching, administration and HR. I plan writing my TEF/TCF in January.
What should be my move and which PNP should I go for?

Draft a letter in the format as required and show the person you were reporting to..that they it has to be like thi format before it will be accepted

If they insist on writing NYSC sent you there..then rephrase how it should be written....like she worked under the NYSC programme in this school from so to so and taught so and so class...and her responsibilities include....... make sure they state how much you were paid on a per month or per year basis
It should be written on school letter headed paper and signed.

They eventually wrote it stating that "this is to certify that.... Was posted here. They included my duties, salary and start date. They didnt include how long I worked there. It was written on their letter head and has the stamp of the principal and his signature plus phone number. His name isn't written on the letter too. Can I use the letter please?

You mean the coming back home to Ikorodu at 11pm, after spending over 4 hours in traffic, looking over your shoulder cos it feels like someone is following you, and entering your mosquito infested self con, groping around with your hands because there's no light, and finally sleeping in the dark with the heat, the mosquitoes and the germs because you're just too tired to think of a shower.
And oh, after eating a dinner of gala and bottled water in traffic.
It's really like everyday struggle in Lagos indeed... grin

May I not answer all this Ur questions cos there is no clear answer to it all. But believe me madam, it's just like everyday Lagos. Ofcos a cleaner, saner, more organized form of Lagos if am allowed to say so. Cheers to everyone and congrats to those traveling. I really enjoy Ur stories. Nigerians u guys rock.

Thanks @drnoel!

I will surely keep in touch.

But realistically, the UK is my target for Practice. I'll sit for MRCS A and B soon after I round up my Fellowship in Naija, which is a more relatable pathway to GMC registration for Surgeons than PLAB.

This Canada pursuit is for my wife and kids. The chances of getting into practice are slim at best. Even at that, the options available favour Physicians.

I have made up my mind to give up 3 years of Practice for all of us to be eligible for Canadian Citizenship, but by God's grace, I'll secure my GMC registration within that period.

I have seen so many colleagues return to Naija after getting their Citizenship cuz they want to Practice their first love - Surgery. I will rather target the UK. My patriotism died years ago grin...

It (our life's pursuits) will ULTIMATELY end in praise for us all!

Ah! Ur focus makes sense now. I do understand. Seems u actually researched well before u started. Very good.

U don't have to explain to me about Ur patriotism. I lost mine too long ago after seeing patients die like cows and not being able to do shit about it. Also made me change specialty, so I understand u very well.

I hear the Canadian board is a little more lenient with European specialists but I can't confirm that cos am not on ground there. So Ur target i.e the UK may be a wise choice too. It's all about fulfillment and what makes one happy.

My interest is the Canadian board and things around it.
Anyways will be in contact.

Cheers.

Good morning all! Please I need clarity, it's regarding my work experience, I worked there in the past and I have been able to get work reference letter and salary certificate as I was paid in cash but the issue is that they do not have online presence. Do y'all think it will be too much info to upload the company's CAC as they are willingly to give me a copy?

Another one is about my surname, my family changed our surname about 7 years ago and got it published on the newspaper (including mine) but I continued to use the old surname as I felt it was so mush hassle carrying evidence of surname change anytime the need arise (I also didn't like the surname ). My old surname is what I have for every of my documents, now the issue is my mom want to gift me some amount for proof of fund but she is going to have to sign and address herself with the new surname and in my personal details where they asked for family members I wrote their names with the new surname because that is what they will have in their passport. Do y'all think it's going to be an issue? Should I raise a LOE with the change of name evidence of my mom and siblings? But then again, it has my name on it and I haven't been using.

1. You can add the CAC which will further proof the authenticity of company since they dont have online presence
2. Leave everything as it is. Difference in name with parents doesn't matter(since you are also declaring it in application under family information), just like a couple maintaining their names after marriage. But if you are doubting then add a LOE.

my wife is a PA and worked where they dont have an oline presence but they do pay her via direct transfer into her acccount. Does she need to request for the cac cert from her employer?

This was one roller-coaster, from joy and laughter to hope, to sorrow and back to hope. Just goes to show that through all the seasons of life God stays with us and we can all push through. I'm so sorry for your loss, but i know that with every passing day, comes renewed hope. Thank God your waiting is over and you can start on a fresh slate.
