I mean prepare for a lot of trial and error of you are doing remote diagnosis. It will be a lot more time and money consuming than finding a good shop and taking it there. NLers should be able to recommend one close to you.
Very true. U are correct.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The 07/08 G35 looks exactly like the 09 G37. And the difference between the 07 G35 and the 2010-2014 G37 is a slightly different headlight and grille.

You must be talking about the first-gen G35, while we're talking about the 2nd gen ones.

Please share pictures, I want to check something

That's the G37

02 to 06 G35 uses a VQ35DE engine called G35

07 to 15 is a V36 it is shared into different places but with the same look and platform

07 and 08 are G35 because they sport a VQ35HR Engine

09 upwards sport a VQ37VHR instead so they are G37

There is also a G25 those fitted with the VQ25HR engine.

so the 07 to 15 Infiniti G series could be a G35, G37 or G25 depending on what year and Engine it is carrying.

To make things easy for me, I call the model before yours the G35 and yours, 37. Nurey also explained some of them come with VQ25 block, but that won't make me call it a G25 undecided

So Mr. Philadelphia, with that out of the way, screw the G35 and get a 37 cheesy

Make sure it's a RWD like oga recommended. Apart from the badge, I really can't spot any visual difference between the AWD and RWD models.

You're completely misinformed. Don't come arguing if you don't know what you're talking about. You obviously have no idea the difference between the cars, so you have no valuable advice to offer on the issue.

And yes, there's a G25. Whether you want to call it what it is or not is completely irrelevant. You're entitled to your own opinions, not your own facts.

I still don't understand why pple keep having issues with their Nissan powerful VQ35 engines. I own a 2006 maxima 3.5SE for 5 years now clocking 270,000 mileage without engine or gear failure. Body and interior still intact, Nissan cars only proper care and attention, finally get your car scanned periodically.

this is an official thread for nissan & infiniti owners and admirers. Nissan and infiniti car problems would be discussed and solved here! smiley

NISSAN-a parent to infiniti, Nissan attempts to emphasize sportiness, with varying success smiley

INFINITI-founded in 1989, Nissan's luxury division has succeeded more than most newer luxury brands at competing with BMW.

kindly state all your nissan/infiniti problems, suggestions and information here smiley

You're close to sealing the deal. Not much can be said for now. However, note that the Primera effectively ended in 2007, and you'd be extremely lucky to get one that late. For all you know, the 2008 that is advertised may well be for years earlier. If the model year is a factor in the price tag, then bargain accordingly.

Hello, my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder has the following codes. How can it be fixed and the possible cost:
P0710, 1764, 0128, 1148, 1168, 0031, 0051.
The temp meter work well but the gear always delay shifting.

What's the colour of your transmission fluid? Confirm that the fluid is not contaminated by radiator coolant/water.

it might in the past before I bought the vehicle but after I got the car, I did the radiator bypass and changed to pureguard VI transmission oil and the color is still good as of now.

Good, though at the risk of being described as anal I'd have preferred Nissan Matic J for the transmission fluid. For the moment, you could delete the codes and scan again after a couple of drive cycles. Let's see the bad guys that'd resurface.

Seems like you want me to seize your German car? I am here not constituting nuisance like Japanese fanboys but commending the one and only costee who has been consistent and dogged with the support for Nissan Infinity owners. Unlike some whose stock in trade is to post infinity issues on the Mercedes Benz thread where it's utterly useless

thank you for the attention. I have done a rescan and the codes persist.
the reverse gear kicks in fine and the forward gear also kicks in but after the first forward gear movement, I will have to put more pressure on the pedal before it will move to another gear.
what can I do to resolve this issue (options and likely cost)

Let’s go from the simple to the complex. P0128 refers to either your thermostat or the coolant temperature sensor. Since you have mentioned that your coolant sensor seem to operate normally, then your thermostat is presumably stuck open. That can easily be checked out. P1148 and P1168 refer to your air/fuel ratio sensors for banks 1 and 2 respectively. P0031 and P0051 are for upstream Oxygen sensors banks 1 and 2 respectively. These latter codes are mere replicas of P1148 and P1168 since the upstream sensors in your Pathy are A/F ratio sensors not heated oxygen sensors. However, all these are emission codes and I doubt if these (severally or collectively) are the cause your jerky shifts. P0710 and P1764 are transmission codes and to them, I think we should trace the culprits. P1710 is titled A/T Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit, while P1764 is Direct Clutch Solenoid Valve Function. The transmission in your vehicle, code-named RE5R05A, is one solid but odd transmission. Odd because all the electrical components of the transmission (e.g. TCM, PNP, etc) are integrated into the Valve Body right in the ocean of transmission fluid. Yes as the codes suggest either or both of the corresponding parts are malfunctioning, but then it’s usually more because the TCM circuits that feed them are open. And what would cause TCM lines to be disconnected being so tucked away? The wear and tear of time. And what’s Nissan’s response? If you, unfortunately, find yourself assailed by the following: P1701, P1702, P1703, P1704, P1705, P1754, P1759, P1764, P1769, P1774, please change your valve body. In our context that’s another way of saying get a toks transmission, it being not advisable to go out for a vb. As for the cost of either a vb or a full transmission I have no idea. But then it just could be (hopefully) that I’m escalating a minor issue. All I’m trying to do here is share information. The decision on the way forward rests with you. Maybe you want to try this:

thanks so much for for all the info, more blessing.
this is my other fear: if I get a replacement vb or a complete Tok transmission, do I need to reprogram it to my ecm or for my model is just plug and play?
I don't want to be stuck halfway after get the part and mechanic will be telling me I need someone with a higher scanner to program the vb with my ecm.
