The Federal University of Technology, MINNA (FUTMINNA) which is currently ranked as the best Specialized university in Nigeria and the best University of technology in West Africa, whose VC is the Charman of all Vice Chancellors in West Africa recently increased school fees of Christians Student alone.
The portal for school fee payment for 2019/2020 session was opened early this morning 20-12-2019 And Christian students were surprised seeing an increase in 5000 on their fees with the excuse of CHAPEL BUILDING, while Muslim Students remained unchanged
Should this really be done

Yes till tomorrow you still find at least one big mosque in every northern university and it is so much possible to achieve that because the Muslims all operate under one umbrella.
We give sadaka(offering) to the growth and security of the mosque and not to pay our imams to ride big jeeps.
In unibuja where I school everyday of the week the Christians would always occupy the entire tetfunds, etf and auditorium for one fellowship or the other, they are too many fellowship and their intense disagreement to come together is the main factor why they can't have a single church.
Note: the school can't give land to every christian organization to build churches if your disunited blame yourself not the Muslims.

what proof do you have that the mosques we're built by the school? Gentleman educate yourself first with proof and not display of ignorance..
Muslims pray 5times daily and if the distance from individuals residence to mosque is far, complains are made and we tend to Use the sadaka(offerings) we give to mosque to help build a closer mosque.
Go to everymosque you'll see an accounting record wall of every mosque financial statement and how they use the money is clearly known to the worshipers.
If those money are being used to build more mosque its our business so long we don't go against the rule of the land.
Mind you we don't pay imams in mosque so the results of our donations are visible to us.

If I may ask, where do Christians keep all the funds they accumulate that they can't build a church for themselves??

The VC, being a Muslim, couldn't have taken this decision by himself the decision must have come from the Christian community in that school and the VC need to be praised for accepting the decision. The chapel that will be built with that money benefit the VC minimally

Then, this is to inform all students of FUTMINNA, most especially the christian students, that after lots of consolidation and consultations, *the UNION is pleased to tell you all that, the additional, 5,000 naira charges that was put on christian students portal,* will be Optional but NEVER Mandatory.

Sometime between 2006 and 2008, the then VC of FUT Minna Prof. Tukur Sa'ad, gave 10million naira to the religious bodies on caampus to build their worship places. 5million naira was given to the Muslims and 5million to the Christians. Subsequently, the 5million for the the Christians was divided into 2..5million each for the Catholic communitty and and the Pentecostal community under the umbrella of NFCS and FCS respectively.

While we know these amounts cannot build what these religious bodies have built, it will be incorrect to say the school did not 'build' the mosque.
