I was never aware that there are viruses that encrypt your files and start demanding for dollars in bitcoins. From my findings now, it's serious than more than what I think. No solution yet. Now the latest attack is .nbes that attacked my system few days ago (it encrypts all your files and will end it with.nbes, and demanding for Ransom). No antivirus or antimalwares are able to detect it. They are series of viruses out there now created from .STOP, .Puma, .Djvu, .Promo, .Drume. Mine is an example of .djvu.

How did it happen? . I visited a site and before I knew what was happening, a pop up came up and wanted to install as a Firefox extention just like how "accept cookies" pop up , then i rejected it, that was the mistake i did. Then something flashed on my system and before I noticed what has happened, it automatically installed passing all firewalls including antivirus and antimalware I have. Then all my files are locked in .nbes extension.

Has anyone else infected with paid ransomeware virus either old versions and series of latest ones?
If I format the system, won't it come back? Share your experiences , please... It seems the antimalware makers are lost in this for now because as one is being dealt with, multiple ones are being created and renamed and key is generated via online connection making it difficult to erase.

funniest thing is that they are demanding this in cryptocurrency to mask their identities. People are now complaining that they even got it from even from popular software downloading sites. This is crazy. Its going to change a lots of things in cyberspace soonest.

Change your hard drive, because it will comeback after formatting. Replace hard drive.

Jut google .nbes and see when this one was created, not up to 1 week, i think.

Explore these options
Thanks for your input. I have tried almost everything , many are only marketing their antimalware links to remove it but not to decrypt the already encrypted files. And as soon you scan it will detect, claimed to be cleaned , then after restarting, they come back again. So ithe virus is using an encrypted online keys to feed their servers and back to your system once you connect online. Because this .nbes is new, about a week old, the only website giving decrypt software for free has not got solutions yet, but says may be later. Many of the viruses are released severally every week now with different names making it difficult to find solutions. Am still waiting for solutions eagerly too.

You don't have to replace the hard drive.

Clean format will do the Job.

The fact that it infects the system so heavily that it rename all the files is somewhat not that bad to me anyway for many many reasons out there. One thing I had from there is getting e-mail(s) demanding money or Indecency with me will be everywhere basically.

You can make use of "system restore" to restore your operating system back to the time everything was working well.

-Press the windows key
-Type in "system restore" (without the quote s)
-select a date when everything was working fine as your restore point
-click enter and your PC will start system restoration.

NB:system restore does not delete any of your files. It will restores it back to a previous date when the malicious link was not clicked.

If you still find it difficult to follow the guidelines above, press F1 and type in "system restore" then follow the instructions there in.

Thanks, system restore didn't work. I have to freeze all the files and all keys associated with them and later removed them without reformatting. Lost most of my files and some software but it's better than letting them taking over my system. Thanks.

You said rejecting was the mistake you did?
So how do we avoid this kind of ransomware. Do we click accept?

Xori for replying you late. I didn't know I unfollow my own thread grin.
If any strange things pop up ,just close the browser straight, don't even click any part of the browser because it will be same thing. It's like u visit a site ( this one was a Chinese +English site cos I was looking for a free download of a software), strange pop up without a name, and putting X sign in one corner to exit, I just clicked the X sign, that's it. It's getting common now, just freeze the browser straight by not clicking anything on the page.

hello priceaction, I need you assistance regarding domain outbounding using email sender by h-educate.
I was able to configure my smtp following your guide and I successfully sent a test mail to about 11 email addresses - all delivered.
Although i tested these 11 email addresses with the email validator but they all came out invalid. i dont know why the email validator is not working for me.
My question is, is it possible to send follow up messages thread-like (quoting my previous messages to an email address).
thanks.
P.S: I would have love to have this conversation with you through email for convenience. I initiated a mail request twice but i dont think you got it.
