Average, yet Everton spent almost all their earnings from Gueye to buy him. If Iwobi, bought for 33m pounds is average then what are you?
I don’t want to speak of naija players

But you see many average players have been bought for more than that amount in the Epl and I can give you some list if you want

When Wenger moved for Ben Yedder before Lacazette in that 16/17 season, people were insulting him.
Wenger might have been out of touch tactically, but his eye for talent will always be elite.
WE now know dude wasn't the problem at Arsenal
Ben yedder Na baller right from time

Wenger get eyes for player nah

Ok local football haters look away grin

Akwa United vs Akwa Starlets (Dakada fc) the city is divided grin I made threats of jumping ship but I remain Akwa United for life(at least for this match grin)

Funny enough our current coach Kennedy Boboye beat them in the Aiteo cup the year Plateau won the league.

Nairaland fans NPFL player of the year Mfon Udoh is in torrid form at the moment. So bad that the last coach accused him of selling matches. I can tell when a player has lost confidence and this is what is going on. Boboye has never had an elite scorer on his team so I am sure he will lessen the pressure.

Starlets have always been a good side. Players like Ubong Friday and Aniekeme Okon came right out of starlets into our starting XIs. So their success doesn't really come as a surprise. Still I always feel we have the edge over them since they are technically our feeder team.

My idea is for the state government to sell them to a private entity that will stay in the state. Just listening to the radio I can tell people would love the idea of picking a side. As a matter of fact that is what made my mind up, hearing so many people switch on united. This is the best chance they are high on the log and have talented young players.

It is shocking Charles I tell you. He is like a national treasure back home in Mexico. Just watch him.

But I must tell you one thing, it is typical of several Mexican talents to struggle in Europe or even struggle making the move to Europe due to wanting to stay home in their league (their comfort zone) although some have broken through and are doing very okay like Raul Jimenez (Wolves), My favorite Mexican Player called Chucky i.e. Hirving Lozano (Napoli), Herrera (Atletico Madrid), Martinez (Ajax) who is having his breakout season and a couple more...

You are contradicting yourself by trying to play a victim here. You attacked Nacho and called Iwobi overated yet you wrote, you did not attack any player. I just asked you a question and you are here crying foul. What did I say that calls for this long epistle. Before you attack or criticize people look at the mirror and take a look at yourself first. What's personal in that?
Good point

for most of his club career, he's played from the wings even played it in a 352 formation for arsenal. So he's not new to being a winger
In Arsenal it's a tactical game based on tactics and strategy.

With Duncan it's Do or Die, Blood and Guts, effort effort effort, work work. You ate effectively trying to grind out results by work rate determination and aggression. It's very basic but effective.

Iwobi l am sure has never ran up and down attacking and defending so much in his entire career. Iwobi has never WORKED SO HARD in 4/5 consecutive games ever.

No suprise he got injured.

No need arguing with this man Andrew.

Someone that said we should not criticize players. Let him tell that to all the sports analyst that make a living from being acerbic with their opinion towards players. Let him tell that to the guys at supersport, sky sports, bein sports et all

Just tell him Iwobi is world class so that he will rest. Joker of the century

Reds linked with Victor Osimhen

Takumi Minamino might have confirmed as Liverpool’s latest signing but the Reds transfer gossip doesn’t stop there!

Sky Sports, cited by The Mirror, report the Reds have joined the race for Lille striker Victor Osimhen but face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham.

The 20-year-old centre-forward has scored nine goals in 17 Ligue 1 games for Lille so far this season, helping to fire his side up to third in the table.

However, it is thought that Lille will not be willing to sell in the January transfer window as they focus on trying to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Osimhen isn't going anywhere this season and he might not even leave next season (if we tempt faith). He's a Naija player after all. They're always linked with all the top clubs but they hardly move grin grin

Well l don't unless you are talking a team that's not really challenging for the title and or competing in Europe.

Kayode has played in Europe did exceptionally well them got entangled with Man City. That didn't help his career.

Going to Shaktar was good but he didn't do good enough to get recognition. If he did he would not be in Turkey that's the harsh but bitter truth.

That means there are still question marks he needs to go to a quality league in Europe and prove his quality and there will be no doubt.
He doesn't stand a chance at Shakhtar as long as Junior is there.

To be honest, Ikone and Osimhen have assisted each other more than any other in that Lille team. Ikone accounts for some of Osimhen's goals (vs Monaco, vs Brest I think, vs Monaco again, etc) while Osimhen accounts for two of his goals so far this season (vs Rennes & against one other Ligue 1 team).

Galtier definitely had a word with Ikone after that small penalty drama and obviously has the lad playing with Osimhen even better. Osimhen missed him for the rest of the game vs Monaco yesterday as he left injured.

The Final three for the CAF Youth Player of the Year is:

Achraf Hakimi (Morocco & Borussia Dortmund)

Victor Osimhen (Nigeria & LOSC Lille)

Samuel Chukwueze (Nigeria & Villarreal CF)

Meanwhile Ighalo missed out on the Final 3 shortlist for the prestigious CAF APOTY after initially making the 30man list and also the Top 10 list.... Now we have predictably Mane, Salah and Mahrez.

The CAF awards comes up on 7th January 2020.
