You don't seem to know UNIZIK's current fees. Acceptance fee for new students is 52,000 naira. Tuition fees for new students is 100,000. General Studies fees for new students is 10,000. On_campus hostel fee ranges between 50,000 and 85,000 naira.

Any person who wants to apply to UNIZIK should be prepared to pay even higher fees next session.

He don know.
With the new VC only God can help zikites..

You are wrong ma.. U served in kano but I schooled there... Notin like crisis in kano, don't mislead people.. I'm a Christian, I stay in sabon gari, I stay within the Muslim dominated areas.. Notin like crisis in kano I repeat... Bliv I went there, people were shouting ahhhhhh kano, even my mom. N dad shouted kano kano boko haram, but those things are rumor.. Kano is safe
Funny how you keep abusing the word "mislead". I served in Wudil, Kano State and yes, there were two occasions when corpers in neighboring villages were attacked. Things might have changed now but I'm saying what I witnessed. Also has a friend who schooled in Taraba, same story. Not implying that's the case everywhere, just saying you prepare your mind so it doesn't take you by surprise.

I strongly feel it's UNIBEN

14,000 I think although I paid 9,500 back then while engineering was paying 7,500.
Abeg, UNIBEN is no longer cheap.. Returning fees is about 46k, first year is about 60..

Infact, 100L clearance will gulp over 200k

Good morning Nlders,
I will go straight to the point,

I am a 26+ year old seeking admission into higher institution, currently preparing for the next UTME, bearing in mind that I am going to be responsible for my tuition et all...

I seek your candid opinion on which federal schools are cheapest and has enabling environment that can make life easier for a student who will be sending himself to school as I intend to go into some sort of biz venture or job to help myself.

Please your advice would be appreciated, thanks.
I have no doubt that ABU is the cheapest and the only school where u pay less than 30k including accommodation in the campus.

Mislead who, it's only a non- Nigerian that'd be ignorant of the crisis in the North. I served in Kano and I know what I saw. The actual situation is underreported. Not saying you shouldn't school there, only stating the obvious.
But you told him to keep off as if it's obvious that death is looming. mind you, Zaria is safer than River state, Edo, Lagos and the likes

Year1 is usually most expensive but subsequent fees are cheap.
Example: Unizik fees from second year is about 23,100.

However, cheap schools includes;
ABU, ZARIA and most northern schools
UNIZIK
UNIBEN
UNICAL
UI I think
OTHER FEDERALS ARE FAIRLY CHEAP
pls what is a federal university and a state university?trust me,I've checked Google

I just rounded up my amazing four years degree program in A.B.U Zaria. And trust me bro, if you are looking for school that isnt really expensive and also safe, from my experience in the north so far, It's definitely Abu. I could walk with my laptop powered and sit under a tree at 2am within the campus. I could also walk to anywhere In the campus by that time. You could buy rice and beans with meat of #200 and eat to your satisfaction. And then the Wi-Fi there is just one of the things every Abu gradguate misses, it's every where and fast. You worry less about browsing on an assignment.
You get to meet people from almost all parts of Nigeria. And there's never been crisis in Zaria, or kaduna for the past four years I stayed there.
