Excuse me, but this sounds like "I fought the law and won". Is it not the plaintiffs duty to get the evidence and not that of the perpetrator to hand over evidence of their crime?

Still, contrary to the "aka" of Timbuktuo you responded to, the plaintiff does not determine "Guilty of collusion". The plaintiff just presents the evidence they accuse the perpetrator of. The judge or jury determines guilt, in this case, the Senate, the equivalent of a packed jury for all intent.

Defendants do not need to be in court for a trial to occur. In fact, they do not need to say a word throughout the trial. You don’t have to believe me, but you’re free to ask any competent lawyer.

Secondly, the burden of proof is upon the plaintiff. The defendant is supposed to cooperate as much as they can with investigations, not assist the accusers to prove their case. If I have been accused of murder, I will do my best to not be convicted of murder. My duty to myself is survival and furthering my interests and welfare. If you have a case against me, you better be able to prove it because I will not prove it for you. If you cannot prove your case beyond reasonable doubt then the court pronounces me ‘not guilty’. Whether you think I am guilty or not is the most irrelevant piece of information on earth. Your opinion is less valuable than faeces.

The Presidency in USA has no right to go rogue. He's being impeached for the exact reason that he did go rogue. The President of Nigeria has however not gone rogue, as far as I can tell, and if he does, we should expect the House of Reps to impeach him (if he did not have a majority in it like Trump hasn't), and be found guilty by the Senate which is the court if he did not have a majority there which our President and that of America both have and enjoy.

I don't know what you mean by "not an ideal case" though. Don't know what should be ideal about it since impeachments are rather rare and no two have been the same, and they are not subject to criminal proceedings in a court of law. Did you hear them arguing whether witnesses could be called or not?

It's an impeachment. Members of your party who's election you might have campaigned for and donated money to are on the jury. The equivalent is a criminal case where the accused gets to chose who tries him which is definitely not ideal. But the President is not a criminal, yet, nor is he being tried in a court of law.
