I just bought 2007 toyota corolla, Please guru's in house what services should i carried out on the car. Some people are saying i will change Engine oil and filter which i accepted but Is it necessary to change gear oil (Automatic Transmission), steering fluid and brake oil. Please enlighten me on this and if other services require that i have not mentioned. Please advice

Do not change the transmission fluid. You may not even change the engine oil and oil filter. Just let a mechanic check the engine oil level to ascertain if its properly gauged.

Service the engine and transmission and start the counts yourself.

Engine oil and filter should be change.. Transmission oil depends on how it looks.. Better to get a good mechanic to check if the transmission oil is still good .. Transmission oil usually last few years or thousands miles before changing.. It is not something you change all the time like engine oil...

To play safe.. Better to change engine oil and filter, changing engine oil often does not destroy the engine like transmission..... Better to be safe than sorry...
