Which Dubai is eko Atlantic challenging? How many buildings are there that it will now challenge Dubai?
Many of you guys know nothing when it comes to building a successful nation. Eko Atlantic has everything to beat Dubai in less than 10 years. Firstly, Nigeria has several sectors that are yet to be developed, youth population, I mean highly innovative youths driving the tech scene in Nigeria and Africa. Nigerians in Diaspora that always check Nairaland to know what's going on...... Just to mention few, the entire UAE doesn't have such capacity..... Quote me if you want me to give you details.

May I inform you that development like that of Dubai is not sustainable. I mean such economy hardly stand test of time. Economy needs to be diversified, in Dubai we have oil, tourism, real estate as major revenue. However, take a look at Nigeria, manufacturing is underdeveloped but on the way. Tech is growing, Agricultural, different mineral resources, gold, iron ore, oil etc. Above all youth population.

Let me add this again, no matter the amount of money the government is borrowing today, with growing population Nigeria is standing because no matter where you invest the money it's all good. In transportation, education, health care, etc compares to countries with old population. Nigeria has a brighter future than any advanced economy with old population.

Once investors see that the Buhari government is willing to stop the indiscriminate dumping of all sorts of products in this country, they'd be glad to bring their money here, knowing that some cheap smuggled products cannot kick them out of business...

Ajaokuta was killed by mismanagement and corruption. It has nothing to do with the location. Peugeot was in Kaduna what happened to it?
u don't understand this message. firstly, ajaokuta is not in Kaduna but in kogi state. the steel coy is one of the largest into world that can sustain Nigeria non-oil economy on it's own. the coy was not mismanaged as u claimed but has not been completed since the take off in 1967 by Gowon. virtually every administration promised to complete the project but promise failed. Now, I said it's because it was located in kogi or middle belt that's why successive govt never take this seriously. Kaduna is a core( I mean Hausa) northern state.
Tell me a place in the north that u can find such a gigantic project uncompleted? in fact, the present buhari govt was using Nigeria limited resources to seàrch for 'unavailable' oil in the Hausa north close to lake chad but there were màny areas oil were discovered in kogi state thàt nothing were done about them and in some that the oil were tapped.. kogi state was still not declared an oil producing state.
they're so many facts I can ànalyse for u based on experience.

D comparison u made was with eko Atlantic and Dubai. D simple question I asked u is "How many buildings are there in Eko Atlantic that it will now challenge Dubai?". Instead of answering d question u talking of d future of Nigeria. How does everything u have said show that eko Atlantic can challenge Dubai? U are just talking out of point.

Even in ur comparison u made between Dubai and Nigeria, u are comparing d potential of Nigeria with d achievements of Dubai. What type of comparison? U are boasting about potential. Wow....Where the hell did that come from?

I had no idea we were building a 600 million dollar steel plant anywhere in the country.

That's nearly a billion dollars.

One day we'll just wake up and find this country has turned to Japan at this rate.

Dangote is already building the world's biggest refinery in Lagos.

Near the site, Eko Atlantic rises slowly to challenge Dubai's glory.

We are moving forward.

Sincerely and against all odds, one must give Kudos to the administration of His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR)

Every leader has got his negatives side but we did would have moved a great distance if we moved at our present developmental rate in the last 20years.

I understand your view actually. There's a need for us young people across Africa to be mentally sound knowing what our future generations would be like. See, I give it to the American founding fathers. The Asians have learned this from them too, so perfectly. See, Nigeria has everything good, great and glorious in her future compares to countries like Italy, Germany, Japan, and several many advanced countries. Which would you prefer for your generations? A growing and prosperous nation for your kids or a decaying economy? I'd not go beyond that.

Here's a chart of the direct reduces iron process.
mr Blue3k stick to the political section and let experts focus on the steel industry. the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) method of steel production does not require or use a blast furnace. what it uses is a Shaft Furnace that produces sponge iron or DRI as it is called.

So I don't no what makes u think that u are first person to say Nigerian will be great

Good, let me explain a little. All the countries that I mentioned are all advanced countries with these things in common. Big economy, big debts (in trillion dollars), old population, eg Japan should be 60% of its population above 60yrs, I don't know the current figure.

What that means is that, in the next 10 years, more than 60% of the population would be burden because they cannot work yet with deteriorating health. This is the issue, with huge national debt it means the few younger generation would work so hard to pay through taxes. Unless, they are not paying those debts.

Secondly, people above 60yrs do not drive economy. Because, it's the young people that buy Gucci, Mercedes Benz, Ferrari, IPhone etc. So, what that means is that companies producing such wouldn't be considering those countries in fact they'd be moving their money and investments into different places. This is why you'd see a vibrant Greek company struggling at home but would relocate to China or move it main operations to China. This is just an example.

Secondly, old people are not as innovative as the young people. Research, innovation, etc would be struggling. These are what economy is all about. We have or called them distrustive tech, you can see what an average taxi driver is making compares to Uber, shop owners to e-commerce, Android/Symbian etc. All these things are difficult for the older generations to adapt to or understand them at all.

Lastly, compare all these situations to Nigerian case, population of 200m with debts less than $100bn. Youth population above 70% and still growing. Norway is about 6m, old population with debt around $1tn.
