Almost everyone has read the letter from the US Congress to President Buhari through Malami.

While Malami may have been the recipient, the tone of the letter revealed clearly that it was directed to the president. But let's not look so deeply at that.

Here's what caught my attention.

Doing So Risks Empowering Other Voices Who Would Seek To WORK AGAINST YOU.

It seems like a warning, that the US Government would EMPOWER other voices to work against the government of the day.

This is likely why Sowore and Dasuki were immediately released. My opinion though.

Don't mind him, he should have ran off like Ojukwu n KANU ran away from their believes to prove he is not a coward.

The US will tweet on Nigeria and use the power of twitter to tweet problems.

Already the bull has shot past the gate, too late to lock him in.

There are two generally accepted principles in regulations.

1 is Self-Regulation.
This is when an institution does its own oversight internally, self-regulates and voluntarily observes limits.

2 is Mandated Regulation.
This is also called Mandates or Metered Oversight.
Here, an institution has been repeatedly warned and allowed opportunities to do its own oversight without success. At that poont a Supervising Authority intervenes and set MANDATES and Rules that the institution must comply with. Each incidence of non-compliance can be penalized in form of sanctions or other blockages, including RAISING A COMPETITION WITH AIM TO DISPLACE THE STUBBORN INSTITUTION and ITS MONOPOLISTIC POWERS.

Buhari himself said on his last vosit American President called his attention to their concern about suppressing opposing and dissenting voice.

America, with this letter, has slapped a Mandate on Nigerian Government. It spelled out the limits, which it referenced as the Constitution, and also clarified the consequence of not complying.

Buhari is on his own now.

This means he can no longer deploy troops to arbitrarily kill Igbos or invade the lawyer's home to assassinate him. Neither can they shoot into protesting El Zakzaky followers.

I want to thank the following for bringing us to this point -

Sowore himself
Mrs Sowore
Femi Falana
Punch Newspapers
New York Post
Wall Street Journal
Washington Post
John Campbell of cfr
Senator Menendez and his Peers
CNN
US Dept of State

His methodology is crude and unconventional but we must not dismiss Nnamdi Kanu for his fervent passion to deliver his people from the misery called Nigeria.
I hope he uses this opportunity to his advantage...by branding a new strategy. The old one is a turn off and no foreign govt will support it.

Will you shut up there!

Advising Mazi Kanu when all you have achieved in life is commenting on Nairaland like the rest of us.

Do something for your own people first before advising a leader of millions.
