Sorry, but rigging did not influence the 2015 results.

PDP lost because they lost states like Kogi,Kwara, benue, and Nassarawa due to intra-party division, and bad governors (Benue and Kogi are two good examples).

Also, rigging in my opinion does not influence the results of elections in Nigeria, because Nigerians prefer to vote for PDP or APC despite bad performances.

Same for 2019 ELECTIONS....infact PDP could have won, if it wasn't for Saraki getting rejected in Kwara, and people in many Northern states voting for Buhari, but voting for PDP in the governorship elections. If 2019 was rigged...it won't have been that narrow.

Still, again, Nigerians vote for parties whose performance is zero. Vote for other parties apart from APC and PDP they won't,
Man, the ejection was rigged. Having 1M+ in Kano State. Is it 90% of Kano Citizens that voted nii?

One could make the same argument for PDP results from the South East and South South...plus (yes anectdoctal.)..but I have lived in the North...on election day, everyone eligible turns out.

Plus Buhari is a 'religion' in the North. This is a guy who had his stickers on commercial buses in the North during the Abacha administration....that's free publicity...

Anyway, how does one explain Sokoto where APC won the presidential, but lost gubernatorial results.?? Or Gombe going for PDP in 2015 and 19?? Or APC nearly losing Kano this year.??

Anyway, rigging does not do it for me as an explanation. The thing is, Nigerians don't vote based on performance, but based on who is close to the sharing of the kudi...

Even those on the IPPS afresh have not been paid directly . IPPS will create a template for you before your payment will be made and your payslip printed online too.

It's a sign of maturity on the part of the govt to have paid. It doesn't mean that govt has succumbed to pressures. Dialogue continues.

Thank you all nairalanders for a quite interesting 2019 year.

I want to use this medium to announce a drop in participation in Nairaland as from year 2020.

If you wake up to log in to NL to learn about the bad news about the country or for tribal masochism, and spend the next 1 hour on facebook or twitter looking at the latest news or trends, then spend another 1 hour on whatsapp looking at peoples' status and personal lifestyle, then spend the evenings to go watch how Chelsea should win or how Barcelona should fail...then keep logging off and on NL to see how many likes or mentions you have had...

then I put it to you that if you continue this trend for the next 2-3 years, especially if you are a youth that has a bright future ahead, the likelihood that you'll end up as a failure in life is high.

If you put all the minutes you spend on unproductive things online, it's enough to find a bearing for your life and loved ones even in the midst of the hardship all around.
