How will the gutter be disilted when it is filled?
This is an LGA, may not have the funds that state capitals may have for such yearly disilting exercises which is not effective even in the most richest state capitals in Nigeria.

The key is to keep the drains clean and water flowing. Even in Kigali there are open drains every where but they are kept clean.

Akwa ibom drains are fairly clean, at least better than drains in 90% of states in Nigeria.

I prefer they remain open so private individuals can clean them during monthly sanitation exercises which akwa ibomites are very good at, without waiting for government to come with expensive cranes to open the concrete drains for cleaning.

Ikot ekpene is not as fine as the op stated. The only fine place there is 5point by sharaton hotel, and if you look at those pictures his uploaded it was mainly centered at 5point and that plaza area.. The plaza is opposite the 5point.. I have lived there for a year,

Op you didn't show pictures of the Ikot ekpene headquarters that's the most beautiful for us to see. Instead the first 5 pictures were an aerial photograph of the four points Sheraton hotel. Then pictures of Ifuho, Ritman University - which are privately owned. You should change your post title or put up pictures of the most beautiful LGA headquarters for us to see and make comparisons. I've lived in akwa Ibom for more than a decade and been to other states; and there's no where IK headquarters is the most beautiful. If you want to compare cities, IK isn't more beautiful than some cities in the south south.

Its 45mins from Victor attah international airport.
And very close to Aba and umuahia though the road to aba and umuahia are terrible.

Akpabio looted but he worked even more. I rate him as one of the best ever governor to have governed any Nigerian state. Anytime I find myself in Akwa Ibom, I weep for my state, how we went Duke to Imoke and now Ayade even in the face of dwindling allocation, Cross River should be doing better...

Umahi is another guy who is doing well...
