For those wondering why Haarland went for 20 million

It was Mino Raiola that insisted for a release clause of 18 million, so that when he is later sold to a big club for hundreds of millions he could take a huge chunk of the money

He has scouts that recommend uncapped players to him while he monitors the performance of his players.

Also he pay this scouts from his pocket. I doubt any local coach even if he earns 100k euros a month will do that
Moreover NFF has many scout around
One of these scout recommended aribo to rohr

No reasonable foreign coach will dare to accept such offer.

tbaba1234:
Where will they find a good coach that will accept those conditions?

It is just to get Rohr out. By June 2020, we will be back to square 1

How many match venues has he visited in Europe to monitor our players since he got this job, maybe he thinks our national team revolves round the few players in Bordeaux? Please this excuse is lame
Come on, there are several pictures online of Rohr visiting players at their club sides. When Mikel had his issues with Conte, Did Rohr not visit him in Chelsea to speak with the coach? He even appealed to the coach to feature Mikel in under 23 games.

It is not an excuse. It is facts.

Rohr doesn't go to visit most of this players the last time I remembered rohr visiting this players was when musa was having career issues thereby seeing all Nigeria players in Europe and also when he went to Norway to scout afeez aremu and 2 others Nigeria descent player lobatan.
Rohr doesn't go around scouting players he has scouts for that
There is hardly any top Nigerian player that Rohr has not visited.

Those around him say he is considering not renewing his contract.

His relationship with his employers broke down.

Now why did that happen? His reactions to unpaid bonuses, delayed salaries and allowances etc.

Truth is Nigeria is difficult to work with. Rohr can go and we can get a new coach but the real issue, the beast of corruption and mismanagement in the NFF will remain and the cycle will continue with the new coach. We had this same trouble with Oliseh which resulted in not qualifying for the nations cup. This same Pinnick was the NFF chief then.

Sometimes I think it is a waste of time to follow the Nigerian football.

In the contract, it is clearly stated he's got an option to travel at least 4times or so, annually, there is no limited time frame for him not to exceed once he travels. He can visit any player he so desires to visit, within that period sir.

I don't really hype Naija players ooo but Osimhen is truly betr than Tammy.
No comparison should be made between the two for the time being. I have now seen the light

No, Pinnick said 2 -3 times annually.. Lol.

Seriously, with so many Nigerian players abroad, you think 2 or 3 times travel a year from Nigeria is enough.

Let say, one travel is during the holiday season. That means he has at most 2 travels left.

It is simply not a convenient arrangement.

If we were like south Africa with most of our players playing locally. It is understandable but for Nigeria, it is ludicrous.

It is easier to scout upcoming talents yourself in Europe.

He can do these visitings with the time he is afforded to travel annually, he must not be based in Europe to visit the players. Besides some of these visits are just for the camaraderies, hence unnecessary in most cases, when the player is already in ur cupboard
