Most of Igbo masquerades are not always violent, they are usually beautifully adorned...

I Once came in close contact to one Yoruba masquerade, with their long wips

Guess what they were singing

"Esu teni emo oh re o teni eh mo"...I was like wtf grin

True Igbos know that they have no culture at all. No boundaries, and no abomination. Money is the culture of the Igbos, any other thing is borrowed. Even the so called Igwes and traditional rulership is a borrowed culture for Igbos.

Igbo man can kill his brother for money, fame and wealth, and can keep 50kg of cocaine in his anus and fly to Europe just to oppress his so-called brother in December. That is the culture of the Igbos, against this, there is no other culture. Cheers
Mumu comment.... grin

I lost all interest and respect for masquerades the day they flogged me even after giving them N50 (all I had at that point) and I have made a vow not to encounter or get involved in any masquerade event whatsover. I would avoid such, even though it is my tradition, I would neither endorse nor support any form of masquerade be it for any occasion.

They blocked the road I was following and scarred my back because they wanted money. This vow I would keep till I am convinced that masquerades are not traditional sars hooligans.

If I am put in the same situation as I was then when they assaulted me, so help me God. I would defend myself and retaliate with firearm if I have any present with me.

I am not sorry to say this but masquerades disgust me no matter how beautifully adorned they are.

Hatred for others too.

Igbo culture is pissed off. I even prefer Calabar culture more than their culture. Nothing is real about Igbo culture. All nah borrow and copy of both foreign and local.

Igbo is no distinctive culture
