How was the temperature that day?

Don't neglect phones external temperature (environmental factor).

I have experienced this more times than I can count, anytime there is a heatwave. And if your phone is black with a black pouch, sorry.

The one of 71k is Global ROM(Chinese Version with Global ROM flashed on) and not Global Version. And the CN version has way lesser LTE Bands than the Global Version and it is missing that of MTN(both bands) and the most common of Glo(Band 28).

Not much, the bootloader comes Unlocked, meaning some apps like Netflix, DStv Now and some other apps that see Unlocked bootloader as a security flaw won't work. And if the bootloader is not properly unlocked it might be bricked and the process of repair is not as easy as other Xiaomi devices with Snapdragon Processor so thread carefully.

I would still advice if you are getting the RN8 PRO get the Global Version.
