Constructed by the British colonial government around 1914, the idea of building the hall came as a result of the relocation of the headquarters of Northern Nigeria from Zungeru to Kaduna in 1911. The building’s design was brought by Lord Frederick Lugard, then Governor of Northern Nigeria, when he moved to Nigeria from India in 1904.

Money must be chopped. If you pass inside railway yard in Lagos, the buildings there will remain in the next hundred years, they look rock solid just like that hall.

Very rugged buildings we have there.my house is about a Stine throw from that residence.use to GI and fecth water there whenever they as no water in the entire Kaduna state way way back

after 106yrs it's still lovely
