Bro, we ain't kids here so please stop. Firstly, you marketed yourself by saying you documented for a couple without travel history and they got it.

Then you proceeded to advise that the poster contacted an expert in documentation, simply put, an agent to falsify documents etc. Its things like this that has earned Nigeria and Nigerians the notoriety across the globe. Y'all should please stop for the sake of all unborn kids. We are begging
Sorry I won't be part of ur frustration this year. Someone said what he should do and I told him is that marketing? Firstly there are visa expert or consultant that guild people and it's a profession. Stop talking trash.

Dear applicants, you really do not in all honesty need anything more than the below for your B1/B2 visa interview for visiting (different for birthing and conferences also in some cases), especially once these agents begin to press you on the extras to milk you. If you don't have it, forget it, no need faking it, you may actually get into trouble for taking documents from them, they are only after your money.

The important documents are:

A. Your International Passport
B. Your Appointment Confirmation Letter
C. Your DS160 Confirmation Letter
D. Your GTB Visa Fee Receipt
E. 2 Copies of your passport photographs
F. Photocopy of your passport biodata page

Add whatever else you have just to help your confidence, but they are actually not needed. If there's anything extra needed, you will always have the opportunity to get them and submit to the embassy where necessary, hardly and scarcely happens on this kind of application anyways.

Stop falling mugu for these squads that are only out there to exploit you undecided

Technically Nigeria is a blacklisted country but just not announced officially. These interviews are indeed inequitable and unscrupulous judging from my last experience there where I was given an outright denial for no logical reason. If Bovi can be denied and Nigeria is basking on a 70% refusal rate, this is as good as a ban : Syria,Yemen,Afghanistan,Tajikistan,Somalia,Libya,Iran,Gambia,Djibouti and our very own Naija are on top the highest refusal rates.
PS: since my last refusal i have flown to Canada to follow up my medical condition. If it was life threatening na so person for don die since.

Birthing in the US is not illegal, paying peanut for it is where you may have issues. Having paid shows in the US is not illegal, but use the appropriate visa, definitely not a B1/B2.

I think strongly that for some countries; you can actually travel with less than 6months validity.
I traveled to the US with less than 6months validity.

Nigeria has a kind of agreement or reciprocity policy with some countries that the citizens’ validity is deemed extended if it less that 6months. US has that with Nigeria. You can google it up.

You are very correct. I did a search and found that out... thanks for pointing it out.

Did he do a show in the US (they all seem to come down to Houston) with a visiting visa? That would be abusing a visa and lead to a quick denial.

You might be right...especially with the highlighted statement.

So what type of US visa would be the right one to use for artists planning to have show events in the US?
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Matinho: 6:59pm On Jan 02, 2020
I dont know o. I no sabi Bovi from Adam but i would really doubt he would use a wrong visa for his shows, he has probably had numerous shows and knows what visas to use, that is giving him the benefit of the doubt. However,I am speaking based on my last experience, been to the USA multiple times and on my last interview I was greeted with the rudest shock : ‘ what do you want in the USA’ was the first question by a seemingly angry interviewer. My believe is no matter what, you shouldnt denigrate fellow humans but who am i to talk, na them get their visa and their country.

My Oga them good evening.

I will like to apply for a US visa along side my wife to attend offshore technology conference(OTC) in Houston come May 2020. We have been to london once and recently Dubai. I currently run two jobs here in Nigeria(Working one month with an oil servicing company and using my one month off to consult for an an E and P). At least by the grace of God my account statement is quite healthy. But here is my challenge so far.

1 There has been high rate of refusal from people who apply to attend OTC.
2 Secondly would it be advisable to get an invitation from a friend who is a citizen in the US?
3 Would i be able to apply as a tourist and also indicate i wish to attend OTC as my secondary reason for traveling to the US ?

Guys your response will be greatly appreciated.

God bless.

You might want to try getting the visa for this conference trip alone without wifey for now.

The chances for approval might be much higher.

That conference thing don cast since.

Fortunately, my 1st trip was based on a 5 day training....and I applied before they started denying folks.
The conference or a short training works if it is real and well documented. I recently helped a Nigerian friend to find a conference in his field and he got B1/B2 visa.

B1/B2 it's just one type of visa. Tourist or Business. There are others. Anything about Naira price, I am not a Nigerian, check online or wait for others to answer, please.
