Well spoken madam. But no reference was made to the ownership of the said land and it's master plan.
I concur, after all the ramblings, no evidence was proffered to support the ownership of the land. So can we safely assume the Governor was right to carry out his actions.

The truth must be said, no matter how bitter it is. SARAKI IS NOT FROM KWARA, it's an adopted child.

Furthermore, given how well and how long I have personally known the Governor beyond Kwara State, so much so that I have always regarded him as one of my older brothers. Even in the political arena, over the years, we have known each other as political opponents and allies and I have always accorded him respect which he has not accorded me.

Did your father pay for the land? If he didn't then the governor only retrieved a stolen government property.

Produce clear stated documents stating that you are or your family truly own the land and all these issues and dramas will be put to rest. It is very simple. In all her statement you never claim nor state that your family bought it. This matter needs no special attention.
After all what is the value of the land in question to the likes of your family or your brother that you cannot afford or acquire another one is your intentions are truly noble. Learn to give back to the society among to abundance you have acquired ,legally or illegally, please.
Thank you, she is looking for sympathy, but none will be forthcoming, if her father did not acquire the land by force then produce the land papers and put it in the public domain.

I wouldn't be disappointed.

Some youths would come here to defend Saraki.

Defending their oppressors while wailing about how bad things are.

I know the place.... I in fact had a close friend there. Frankly, it's very close to the land of the Civil Service Clinic. I wouldn't be surprised if it was "appropriated " by the Sarakis.

Let the Court decide!

Let us be Frank to ourself, I don't do politics ,but as long as Nigeria leadership is concern people allocates govt things to themselves... The Govt himself is not left out , He was into oil and gas together with the present Ogun gov. who still owns HEYden oil, for those of us that are in that sector we know how they acquire things and licensing from the govt, and they all knows themselves , they are all thieves , the gov Rasak has also allocated some govt prop to himself , this is just a witch Hunt , I pray he has a lot to show for the great otege movement crusaders by 2023... Go to Ikoyi and see how
Generals allocated land and houses to themselves... Baba Tinubu also did thesame in Bourdillon , but there many things more important to do for lagosians than unnecessary witch Hunt....the govt was just too harsh on the Saraki's...we saw what happened to Yinka Ayefele in Oyo by Fmr gov Ajimobi, even tho Ajimobi had a valid point , he was largely criticized for rude action , I see thesame thing playing out in Kwara because the gov hands are not clean from what he was accusing a former late Senate leader who then had the opportunity to allocate to himself what is more than the ILE ARUGBO, go to VI , Abuja, Ikoyi and see what people allocated to themselves , Gov AA is just fooling himself with pety ILE ARUGBO.

I respect this woman so much...her level of intelligence is commendable .....The governor messed up...he ought to 've given this woman the respect she deserve. For the love one has for a so single member of a family .,.one may decide not to go to war with that family even though one has clear motives to fight them. This is not all about saraki but about his father...target saraki leave other members of his family alone

We are always too emotional when it comes to our judgement as people. We pretend to show sympathy when we shouldn't and this affect our judgement. Now, on the demolition of the said property/land the Governor said the land belongs to government and has been designated to be used for community purpose since 1970 but was hijacked by the late Saraki.
The question intelligent people should be asking is that does the land truly belong to the government or Saraki? If it belong to Saraki where is the CofO? According to the Governor the occupant does not have the CofO.

So for the fools wailing Bukola was Governor for 8 years and another 8 years by proxy why didn't they get the CofO through out this period? They never believe power will change hands their believe is that they will be in power for forever. Even ordinary Nigerians fight the government over land when they have the CofO not to talk of the Saraki family. Why the wailing all over the place why cant they go to court with their proof

I don't understand what is wrong with us as people we pretend to use good intention as an excuse not to do the right things. Now let us assume the late Saraki was a good Samaritan to Kwarans does not mean he should not be prosecuted if guilty?

Finally, I don't know who is saying the truth here either the Governor or the Sarakis but it seems the Governor could be right because I don't see how hard this is if they have the CofO. I don't care if this witch hunt or not as far as the land belong to the government then it should be taken back.If it truly belongs to the Sarakis let them go to court and present their case and the court should hold the government responsible for some reasonable damages it has caused the family.

Use your brain and stop being emotional with everything fellow Nigerians. Too many foolish people everywhere is the reason Nigeria is where it is today.

This is the revenge for Late Fmr. If you know you know. that ile arugbo is just like almajiri home used to camp aged women's that supposed to be receiving proper health care, sharing of 100 naira with 1 muddle of rice, this women would trek a distance of oshodi to iyanapaja, some faint on the road.

My people what goes around comes around.

On Nigeria artist voice that says WaKa JeJe, when you are in power not all toes you step on, bcs this administration many leader go hear am like banger.

But non of your family members has ever offered a cup of rice to aged women..

You can make it right by building Ile arugbo closer to where these old women are.. So they don't trek long distances.. undecided

The governor is not right to confiscate or destroy property without the due process of law. The occupants or owners should have been invited through court summons to show better title and proof that the property belonged to them. Where they are unable to do so, the court will rule in favor of the state to take possession. That is how a sane, democratic society works.

I don't know how some of you have become so used to violence and lawlessness of government that you uphold even clear illegal actions as correct! Her letter indicates that she expected that issues about that property would pass through proper process and that suffices. The public space is not the court where she or her family have to prove anything.

This is what past President including the self claim Buhari and governor does yet they are free.

If President has done this every soul in APC will applaud him including Lawyers.

How can a president or governor have absolute power in office? Such is never a democracy. This people both the security agencies and ministry has done treble things but walkway free.

Gbemisola Saraki sense is on reset because the property belongs to her family otherwise.

Ever since the Gov opens attack on Saraki and family I have and can't support the manner is going about them.

This is a dictatorship and power-drunk leader act.

APC or PDP others nobody should face justice or injustice without going through the right channel of a court or other lawful institutions.

I repeat if Buhari had done this all APC members will support him including blind followers of Narialand.

Evil is Evil.

the demolition was uncalled for

Its just an old building for old folks.
You claim to be serving the people, yet you are destroying their livelihood just because you want to get back at your political enemy.

This demolition wouldn't even hurt Oloye Saraki one bit...rather he would use it to gain sympathy from the masses...stupid move by the rascal governor

Even if you wanted to demolish it for something worthwile, atleast do it through a legal process and not this rascal style

How has the building uplift those old folks from abject poverty that Saraki and his family subjected them to?

I know the place too. I schooled in ilorin. Old people used to gather there to eat amala, collect stipends in those days.I wouldn't know if it's still the case now. Maybe the new administration wants to use the place for a different thing and I think they should have applied wisdom in handling the matter. Kwarans are simply paying baba oloye's good deeds back with hatred. Too bad. I've learnt to understand that, situations could change anytime. We should be careful how we act

Anyone who visits violence on the aged can never live to old age.

Gbemi has now seen that when it gets right down to it, family is everything. A big lesson to those fighting their blood relations over politics.
