The idea of refurbishing the airport is laudable. Not only would it ameliorate operational efficiency, the facelift hopefully will make it comparatively sophisticated among runways around the world. But is N10 billion not exorbitant, given the skyrocketing drop in living standard of Enugu people? Half of that money can erect world-class industries capable of creating over 500 jobs. The government makes money, financial burdens of the average man is lifted, a win-win situation.

Works on the new terminal building at AIIA continued even after GEJ caved into demands to sack her (of course he thought that act would endear him to the south-west and core-north for the 2015 elections)! Works stopped in 2015 after Buhari became president!

The runway is another thing they like to point to and ask why it wasn’t done or why it was done shoddily during the GEJ years! I suppose they expected now Senator Oduah to force her way back into office to ensure quality adherence on the job!
