ireland we dash una grin grin

The Football Association of Ireland are planning to cap-tie Norwich City's Nigeria-eligible striker Adam Idah during the first international break of 2020, manager Mick McCarthy has hinted.

McCarthy stated that Idah has earned himself a senior call-up on the back of his impressive performance against Preston North End in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday in which he netted his first hat-trick as a professional.

Born in Cork, the former College Corinthians super kid qualifies to represent Nigeria through his father.

The 18-year-old is already provisionally cap-tied to the Irish after appearing for the country in the U17 EURO qualifiers back in October 2016 and also has caps for the U16, U18, U19 and U21 national teams.

Ireland's first game this decade is a European Championship qualifier against Slovakia in March and Idah won't be eligible to play for Nigeria again if he gets game time.

Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday, McCarthy said : "He might have just got himself one, never mind you getting him one.

"He's scored a hat-trick today, and he's playing in a real competitive game. It's not a U21s, U23s, it's an FA Cup tie against a good Preston team."

The Nigeria Football Federation have lost Michael Obafemi to the Irish and it is all but confirmed that Idah will follow in the footsteps of the Southampton striker by committing his international future to the boys in Green as he has closer ties to his country of birth than Nigeria.
Irish have flooded twitter, they are angry we are trying to claim him

the guy doesnt seem serious to me anymore and have to work extra hard to get back to reckoning in the national team

Haha, I read about the haircut story a while back. He also has a great relationship with the technical staff over there. Hopefully, he can start playing football again and help Gala to a berth for European soccer.

Gini also turn up for Liverpool

Remember last season champions league

We are talking about someone being a bench warmer in club and playing for his national team, Gini is not in that league

Some people don't understand that Gini plays a different role for both Liverpool and the Netherlands..
With the Netherlands,he plays a free role that enable him get into goals voting position.. but at Liverpool, since Coutinho left, we have switched the team's creativity from the midfield to the flank... our fullbacks constant overlapping means that the midfielders have to be on alert to cover for them, hence their limited creativity... when Keita and Fabinho joined, many people expected Gini to be benched, but he has so far proved himself a very vital member of the team.. Plays the role well for club and country..

I think he is somehow like our own Mikel at Chelsea.. not many people appreciate the role they play for the team because u have to be very observant to see it...sadly,a lot of fans just want to be entertained....

Excellent win for Chukwueze's Villarreal against a very strong Sociedad side parading some of La Liga's finest youngsters in Oyarzabal and Odegaard.

Chukwueze played 82mins and had a 7.00 Whoscored rating. Passing accuracy was 73.3%, created two chances, had two key passes, had one shot, won one aerial duel.

Decent shift from our Naija Robben away from home.

Villarreal climbs to 9th on the La Liga table.

I hope he kicks off from where he left....

But he still needs to move to a bigger league than Turkey ..
The deal doesn't have buy option and it's only for 6 months

he is not yet a regular at norwich and just turned 18 whereas we have the likes of osimehn, dessers, maja, okereke, umar who are equally young with better stats and professional football experience.

if he is ambitious to play at the world cup in the future his best bet is with 9ja but he has to be patient. with ireland he may end up only playing euro and world cup qualifying games

i noticed your observation long ago in the team. villarael do not play to samu's strength at all and i bet you if they do the kid will wreck havoc on opposing teams. his strength and style of play is one of the reason i so much believe he will be do well in liverpool if he joins them

samu is a player that feeds on his pace and trickery

Exactly bro. Villareal is a systematic team and not a direct team. They prefer to systematically pass the ball and move positions into the opponent half rather than send multiple direct balls to the talented young man on the wings who is free a lot of times.

Not just someone but his moniker is earthquake , he and many others said so last season, i told them villareal wont be relegated but they refused to believe

Now others haven't said anything this season but earthquake still insist they will be relegated i said such wont happen but he still disagree

The funny part is that he didnt even say leganes will be relegated but villareal, now he is no where to be found, but you will see him soon when gabriel jesus fails to score

Nonsense and earthquake
