For your own good. Always travel with your ID's If you're travelling with a laptop make sure you have the receipt and create separate user logons if you have something that can bring too many questions. Remember any common browser in use is for Yahoo boys as tagged by our policemen. If possible avoid Windows OS use strange OS like flavours of Linux and when apprehended just hand over the system...I bet no idiot can navigate Linux. Mind your dress and language if any idiot randomly stops you. Agree to follow them even to the office of Mr Buhari if they wish. If you can quickly make calls, your family and the Commissioner of Police or any person overseeing that unit saves you a lot of drama. |

I remember on 30th November 2019..I went to umuahia with my fiance for a wedding... we had some issues on the road so we arrived umuahia late by 11:10pm...we were standing at the "Gate" for those familiar with umuahia..while we were standing we heard gunshots, it was SARS people doing massive arrest... they came to where we are..and said we should enter the car..I asked them for what ,they corked their gun to shot us..my fiance said its alright that we should enter...they were arresting people even those going for cross over service that night were arrested... the say saw a man driving Lexus 350 they started chasing him..the man fled...another man was arrested cos he was driving a flashy car..when we were on our way to the station.. they were telling us that if we make noise that they will shoot us and they will say we are armed robbers...finally they took us to ubakala police station... people were bailing their selves with a huge amount of money...some were doing transfer just to bail their selves... my fiance wanted to pay I said no... you can't arrest someone that is innocent and expect the person to pay a huge amount to bail him self out again.... they checked his phone, they didn't see anything.. my fiance is a pharmacist he was carrying some drugs to supply to someone there in umuahia they checked all the drugs none was fake...they said those people that did not pay will enter cell...in fact I weep for Nigeria we dey serious trouble for SARS people hand ooh...so we had to pay them to stay at the counter till morning... they told us to bring 100thousand naira to bail our selves...I said for what...inukwa 100thousand??finally the thing end for 30 for both of us...we paid...before we left we were told to sweep the compound for dem... the wedding we came for we didn't attend again... ##ENDSARS### |

They should be tape recording or video recording. For further layout against them. One has to be smart when dealing with the Nigeria police |

Sorry I'm posting this on here... Sorry OP Actually, I thought of what topic to use but needed to be careful with mentioning names. Now, I would start by using fictional names though this is a true story. Below are the people involved Jummy: The 16yr old girl that was arrested. She is a product of a broken home but lives with her two brothers, her uncle and his wife Simi: The 18yr old missing girl. She lives with her parents, but she has little or no home training. She, her mom, and all her female siblings sleep in the same room Iyanu: Simi elder brother Tope: Jummy's elder brother Isaac: Simi's boyfriend Just as Simi and Jummy are very close friends, Tope and Iyanu are very close friends too These two girls are friends in the neighborhood, so close that Simi's parents know Jummy so well.. One goes to the other's house without questioning. Simi had a misunderstanding with her elder sister at home, and she was rebuked. On Friday 3rd, 2020, at around 10:30pm, Simi left her home and went to Jummy's home while Jummy was already asleep. Jummy turned in bed and realised someone was sleeping beside her, she asked "who's that?" and Simi responded "it's me, please I wanna spend the night at your place, I have a misunderstanding with my sister and she said I mustn't sleep at home except I find her money and she was cursing, so my mom said I should come sleep at your place"..Jummy was left with no choice, so she allowed her sleep over. On Saturday 4th, at around 6:30am, Simi left, telling Jummy she was going home, but she didn't actually go home, but someone told them she was at a half-brother's home. Meanwhile, on that same Saturday, Jummy called her brother and told him Simi slept in her room overnight. On that same day, Tope(Jummy's brother), Iyanu(Simi's brother) and Peter(a neighbor) all went somewhere and found the girl. The moment Iyanu sighted his sister, he turned back and told his friends he wasn't going anywhere anymore. The other friends got so amazed and asked why he would turn back just because he saw his sister. When he was asked, he told them he had nothing to answer, he just wasn't going anymore... They stopped being inquisitive and they all turned back and returned home. When they all got home, Tope called Jummy and told him what happened. On the same day, at around 10:30pm, Jummy was fast asleep once again, so she turned and felt her body touch someone, she observed it was Simi again.. Eventhough she was so tired, she was forced to get up from bed and inform her brother. Below is the dialogue that ensued between them Jummy: Tope!!! I just woke up and found her beside me again Tope: Who? Jummy: Simi now, she's sleeping in my room (Tope walked into Jummy's room and found her sleeping comfortably in Jummy's bed) Tope: Simi, you can't sleep here please, we don't want any trouble. And again, your brother is outside, you can follow him home Simi: Please, let me sleep tonight, I'll leave very early tomorrow. Tope: tomorrow it is, and never come here again. So she slept at Jummy's place again and left the following day. Simi went home, prepared for church on Sunday 5th..So on 5th, 6th and 7th, Simi slept at her parent's home without anyone questioning her about where she slept those other two nights. On Tuesday 7th, at around 4pm, Simi went to Jummy's place and told her she needed two trousers for an outing which she said was a choreography at her church. Jummy asked her why she'd be needing Two trousers and why would she need trousers since her church doesn't allow it. Simi replied that they would be wearing something above it and she'd be needing the second one for a friend. Jummy gave it to her and the day was gone. On Wednesday 8th, Jummy left home at around 7:05am and went to school. On that same day, Simi saw her mom off to her shop and returned home, and that was the same day she left home and never returned. When they discovered Simi wasn't home, her mom and sister looked around and found Simi's belongings inside an uncompleted building, and there inside the belongings, they found Jummy's clothes. When they found those, they concluded Simi and Jummy absconded together, so Simi's sister called Jummy's school to verify if she was in school, and she was told Jummy was in school... When Jummy returned home, she was challenged by Simi's mom and sister, saying Jummy had put herself into trouble and must tell them where their daughter was. Today, Monday 13th, Simi's mom went to the law enforcement and reported the issue to them. Jummy was arrested and kept in their custody for about 7hrs. When I got there, I was told Jummy would be kept in custody until the day Simi is found. I was shocked and asked if it would be appropriate for a girl of that age to be kept in custody even when there wasn't any evidence. I would love to hear from people who are in the law enforcement on here to please tell me exactly what to do, cos I was told Jummy would be taken to a Juvenile prison except she finds Simi... What can I do? |

Well said brother, better to avoid any form of confrontation as well, try to descalate any volatile situation or try to prevent any situation from becoming volatile, this is Nigeria where human lives have no value especially to our supposed security agents

|

I have had an experience with those guys in UDI. I was driving to Enugu, they stopped me and ordered me to come down for searching. seeing a young guy (my looks is confusing though) driving a clean car. they searched everywhere and I found nothing except my extra sim I lodged at the back of my phone. they labelled me yahoo. I laughed and told them they must be joking. I know a lot of police guys and I have idea how they work. I used that as a my strength and told them to prove it. they requested for my phone. I told them I can't unlock it except we go to the station so I can see what they wants to do with my phone. they all kept quiet knowing that I already know how they work. we drove around till they became tired and left me. I told them I was bad market for them lol. gave them lunch money and collected their number. now we are friends. lol |
