I think this OP was not writing about Nigeria or Saudi Arabia or Iran. Among real people especially when a foul play is suspected corpses can be delayed, exhumed for autopsy or on legal demands. So, your bigotry does not hold sway beyond the sphere of your Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Nigeria.

Muslims are suppose to bury the dead immediately but in some conditions they take either to the mortuary...e.g , when I lost my friend back then in the varsirt Nasr ...he was taken to the mortuary because his parents could not make it to the south from the north and it spent like 2days before his family came and was withdrawn from the mortuary and some Islamic rites was done and he burried...ISLAM ALSO TAKE DEAD BODIES TO THE MORTUARY DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION, BUT TH NORMAL.PRACTISE IS TO BURY IMMEDIATELY...from the topic above , it is not out of place that, that is what played out since it didn't happen in her home country...
