But regarding WAR and VIOLENCE Jesus made it clear to his own followers that they shouldn't think of accumulating any earthly possessions {Matthew 19:21} after thoroughly meditating on Jesus' viewpoint about earthly possessions Peter said "Look! we have left EVERYTHING behind to follow you" {Matthew 19:27} This means "we have NOTHING to hold unto as our own again apart from you"! Luke 12:32-34

So Jesus' followers have NOTHING to protect apart from the TRUTH in them, that's why it is easy for Jesus to tell them to FLEE (RUN AWAY) when the enemies of TRUTH are approaching the residence. Matthew 10:23
This order won't make any sense if they've accumulated material possessions that's much, that's why Jesus emphatically said "remember the wife of Lot" Luke 17:32

They'll rather fight and KILL their enemies to keep their possessions. That's why Jesus' followers of the first century finds it easy to obey the commandments of their Master, Lord and King
