My brother in the US said to me last week "brother forget what you see in T.Vs, these African Americans are the most useless set of humans i have seen. Don't be suprised that the common man you see in the streets of Nigeria is way smarter than Jay Z. I don't want to do drugs, i want to work hard for my money, doing drugs here will make you rich and i will never do it, but one thing i will forever do is support the drug dealers decision to sell drugs because the buyers who are mostly African Americans don't deserve pity!" 4 Likes 1 Share |

Geminita1:Wow! Most of the comments by Nigerians are shocking. You say this to a black American is the same way other African nationals see Nigerians. Ghanaians say the same about how Nigerians speaks which is irritating even our neighbors Benin republic say the same thing about us. The east Africans say the same about west Africans. I have this Tanzanian friend, she said , " if I hear a west African (Nigerian, Liberia, Sierra Leone and even Ghana) speak, she runs. I think Nigerians are big dents to black as a whole. How many African Americans do you see in foreign prisons ? Aside from the crimes African Americans commit in America, where do you hear of them? Unlike we Nigerians that commit in every corner of the world . Are we the only country with the largest population to commit crimes? Know the way you talk. You better be neutral and stop acting like your nationality is innocent.. You are a pot calling Kettle black. 5 Likes |

DexterousOne: Nigerians were very lucky, our cultures emerged somewhat unscathed after colonialism. Yoruba's still have their identity, ditto Igbos and Hausa/Fulani cling to their identity so fiercely it holds them back at times in their opinion. (Tiv, Efik etc you have yours, but you are small small ) I recall a good article talking about this, we had only 100 years of oppression at the most. Whereas the poor African Americans have been oppressed for over two centuries, interestingly the same for South Africans (over 4 centuries as the first whites landed in the 17th century). That is why their reaction to racism is very different.. We have to acknowledge their pain. But at the same time, they should see the benefit of our positive mindset and attitude of perseverance in the face of adversity.. 3 Likes |

Many of the people on this thread are young and they lack real world experience. They consume a lot of western media without realizing those outlets have their own agenda for the narrative that spread 1 Like |

DexterousOne: I don't need to go to know history. Are you Liberian? Doesn't the same thing happen in Nigeria? Arent ppl that try to shake things up accused of being self-hating and thinking they're better? Africans are too insecure. Yet they want change. Yes AAs too are self-destructive, but they're thinking is slightly better than Africans in the liberia situation. 2 Likes |

emddi: Read 'Guns, Germs and Steel' by Oyinbo man Jared Diamond or 'Prisoners of Geography' by Tim Marshall first. Before asking ignorant questions mumu. Africa by and large was very isolated compared to the rest of the continents. Our climate too was very different and the environment much harsher to develop than say Western Europe or part of Asia. Also we don't have the most fertile soil in the world. Tropical soil is notoriously poor, exhausted by only a few seasons of agriculture, as the top soil is very thin. It also erodes quickly once the trees holding it down have been removed.. This question was posed even by whites and has been answered. At the same time, when black africans did move to more benign regions their civilisations flourished . See Ta Seti who defeated the Roman Empire or Ancient Egypt who stated their ancestors came from a land that lay to the South Punt (inner africa). Even Aksumite civilisations and Malians showed that Black Africans had no issues producing world class civilisations. I would suggest you read more.. 2 Likes |

360command: Bros, you dont see them in other prisons because..... WHERE THEM DEY GO? Apart from America, where do they visit? They shout motherland but never leave their states. Even wealthy AA (businessmen, drug dealers, govt workers) will rather go to paris than Africa. I stand to be corrected if i say 80% of Nigerians in Nigeria have not seen an AA. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nope. Most of their companies are meant for siphoning and laundering in the guise of expatriates or foreign investments (same goes to Africa continent). It's a long straw from the USA to China's cup of tea. Reason, Trump called them "cunning dwarfs" because China turned their hubs meant for tricky means to their economic advantage. Hence, the devaluation of currency and internal monetary circulation, killing of foreign spies and internal traitors who work as spies, etc.... Trump has companies in China too but frowns at their policies that blocks the leakage. Americans are really bad, I mean bad gamers! codemaniacs: 1 Like |
