Pls stay away from lexus, it consumes fuel

Stay away from Avalon its problems comes up every quarter

All you need is let the seller follow you to the bank, make a counter transfer and acknowledge the receipt of transfer from the bank, ask him if he got alert if he says no, follow him to his bank to confirm

But tell him this before payment and don't go alone, go with someone incase he starts behaving funny after transaction

No peace to embrace. I will comment.
Are you comparing the fuel economy of the Lexus es 330 to that of a corolla?
On what basis are you saying the Lexus consumes fuel?

The OP listed luxurious cars as his preference. Luxury comes at a price.

He hasn't mentioned fuel economy as a criteria.

Buy your Lexus and enjoy it OP. However, do not expect the economy of a corolla. The Lexus can give you 16-18mpg easy with city driving and more with highway driving.
Those figures I quoted are real world figures I have experienced.
There are risks with buying abroad. You could buy a car with a defective transmission or engine and the importer may not even know. Vin Check may not even tell you this as owner is selling and the garage hasn't reported it.

You could have your car damaged at the port by these useless port drivers. They may even tow with your car.

If your importer can physically inspect the vehicles for you before importing, then you are good on some risks.

If you don't want any of the above risks, buy from any dealer or car lot in naija here and go with a literate mechanic and a good friend.

I have lost hundreds of thousands to damage at the ports. Sometimes better to disable a car electrically before shipping if there is front impact that affects the radiator, because those guys will start the car and drive it that way irrespective of whether there is engine oil or coolant in the system.

Ok my best bet is the 2007 Camry i4

Thanks a lot boss... I’ll just use over the counter transfer if I decide to use naija car dealers.

God will replenish your loss.

I've also learnt something from your experience.

out of the 3 mentioned, I will go for 06 avalon limited if it were my choice. I've had one 6yrs now. No issues. Still clean as toks. Only downside is the cracking dashboard which I don't see in all avalon. It's very reliable. To me, it has good fuel economy.

lol. I couldn't resist responding on seeing your opinion on Lexus and avalon. I own both cars and they are very good. Cars are just like you. Take care of them properly and they will be good to you.

Make a bank transfer via internet or via app.
Include the VIN and vehicle details in the remarks or description
That alone is a receipt for you.
