they cant watch it in the cinemas, which will affect the success of the movie.

How can you believe that ?

Just wanted a DC fan to experience this feeling

Speaking to how this success impacts Disney + moving forward, it's interesting to note that Star Wars wasn't even the biggest draw for people prior to the service's launch, but The Mandalorian became the biggest show in the world all the same.
BTW, I am a big fan of The Witcher series too.

This must be a joke, do you know how big Star wars is in the US where it laughed? Many people subscribe for Disney+ because of that show and unsubscribed when it ended. Do you know why the pushed wandavison to 2020? Disney+ has no new interesting original shows on their service RN. Unlike Netflix which is always dishing out good original contents

Apparently, Disney may be getting the rights to the Defenders ( Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist) early from Netflix:

Marvel Reportedly Getting The Rights To The Defenders Back In Early 2020

Marvel Could Start Getting Its Netflix Heroes Back This Year

Though apparently, Disney also considering a film with the comic book version of the Defenders:

Defenders: The MCU May Be Assembling the Original Team

What do you guys hope to see from either Defenders team?
I wonder if this is more about "Defenders" for future Dr Strange use than about Luke Cage, Iron First, Daredevil and Jessica Jones
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by F0REVERB0SS(m): 6:18am On Jan 11, 2020
For the people worried about the sitcom aspect of WandaVision, here's a recreation of the sizzle reel from D23 that sets the tone. The sitcom part honestly just helps give that feeling of dread that was often present in Tom King's The Vision imo. There's something about sitcoms that make them feel very artificial in a way, so I'm guessing they're using that to their advantage.

.....And I think we'll see the cracks starting to appear in that reality soon enough

Sure could be. DD and JJ are the most interesting to me from the Netflix series and, while they don't have the same level of power as the others, I really hope there's a slot for them in the greater MCU (keep Charlie and Krysten please)
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by dragonflyy(m): 6:41am On Jan 11, 2020
i still think it’s too early for the defenders but I guess they want them back in case they use them as supporting characters for a bit. maybe in like ten years time.

but I would love to see them do a proper chinese mythic iron fist. that would be lovely and it wouldn’t clash with Shang chi because that’s more martial arts

If you read the comics, when the Avengers went missing for awhile, the New Avengers popped up. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Spiderman, Wolverine and Sentry came on the scene to fill in. Can they do this for the MCU? It's very possible. But if they did, they would have to amp up Luke Cage and Iron Fist. The Netflix series made these guys very much street level guys and not being able to stand in for the A team. But I do like that cartoon where they filled in for the Avengers. One of the best ever. But just not feeling the casting for Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Really hoping they recast. Neither one of them have the essence of the heroes. Daredevil and Punisher are perfect though.

I use free netflix accounts and passwords to watch all the series.

Its very useful.

I don't see them doing the Defenders, let alone name a movie after it.

2021-
Shang-Chi
Spider-Man
Thor

2022-
Dr. Strange
Black Panther
Blade

2023-
Captain Marvel
Guardians of the Galaxy
One more film

4 films per year just sounds too much work unless Marvel Studios really film their movies like 2 years or 1 1/2 year ahead from their respective projected release date then they could do it. But a director bailing when a movie is supposed to be out in 16 months and a week is not okay, especially the replacement might need more than six months to work in the script/pre prod before filming starts. I'm kinda bummed that Dr. Strange 2 is adding more months/a year to its gap from the first DS movie. But I'd rather want Marvel and the new director to take their sweet time rather meeting the planned May release date for the sake of it.

Also these Disney+ shows will also eat up their time. I just don't see how 1 studio can juggle both streaming shows and movies and then increase their yearly movie output to 4 when they can't even release 3 movies for this year when the James Gunn debacle happened.

Do you think the MCU iteration of the Fantastic Four would work better as a movie in theaters or a Disney Plus show? I was leaning more towards a movie but television has undoubtedly caught up to movies when it comes to VFX if you look at shows like Star Trek: Discovery, Game Of Thrones; or even Lost In Space those have pretty much cinematic level production values on par with some of the most fancy looking movies today, imo. I think it’s possible to pull off FF properly on television now. I could kind of see a Doctor Who-ish type of FF show with a big budget.

While I ultimately prefer FF to be done as a movie I do think there’s a case to be made that perhaps it’d better if they didn’t get a movie and just got a Disney Plus show instead since television allows you to dive deeper into the characters since you spend more time with them than a two hour movie.

After the failure of the Green Lantern movie, DC is doing a HBO Max Green Lantern show and there’s no question they will invest in a lot of money into making look and feel like a feature film. Unlike Green Lantern, Fantastic Four has had three live-action movies that were released in theaters to overall poor reception so maybe Marvel might be tempted to do something different with the FF. However, just because Marvel may realize the MCU version of the FF as a television show doesn’t preclude them from being in a MCU movie eventually. After all, Ms Marvel, and She-Hulk are going to make their MCU debuts in the television format but Feige has made it no secret they will appear in the movies.

So The FF can still appear on the big screen even if Marvel ends up doing them as a Disney Plus show since the Disney Plus shows(unlike the Netflix shows) heavily tie into the MCU. So Marvel can have its cake and eat it too.

I’d prefer X-men to be the one on Disney plus and FF a movie

Apple TV+ looks like garbage though. For all their resources, they have 7 shows and that is it. Its not like its HBO level content either.

I think some these tech companies would need to buy a smaller player, like Lionsgate or CBS/Viacom to be relevant in the streaming era.
Just 7 shows? How do they expect to get anywhere with that?

Movie. A streaming show would just look way cheaper compare to a mcu movie.

I've gone back and forth on this because I can see the F4 being almost like a sitcom in the Lost in Space range and with so many characters to explore, a tv show would give you time to meet a lot of them. But with the special effects, movies seem to be the way. I can almost say tv show but keep Doom for the movies. I really don't know how these Marvel shows will work for Disney +.

Woah woah woah woah woah woah woah woah woah shocked this trailer is fvcking dope bruh!!! Was that Micheal Keaton I just saw?? Wow Jared Leto will earn accolades for this one...it seems Sony has started building their spiderverse(for some dimwits that think they have nothing going for them and they would be gobbled up and we won't know where they would be in 2 or 3 years) they still have Kraven the Hunter in development and that's more expanse to their spiderverse...

Plus I just watched Once upon a time in Hollywood, that movie deserves some awards(if it hasn't won any) the Adam West batman and Robin promo call was genius from Tarantino(many people won't know this cos they never stay till the end of credits) but there was a Batman and Robin call with permission from their families cheesy
All I'm saying is Sony is just getting started..I have to go check out that Bloodshot trailer (another potential)

I'm very meh on it but looks like what it's supposed to be: A Morbius origin movie for better or for worse. I don't really expect these flicks to get interesting until the sequel anyway.
