You can still insist on station na? My own was around 10pm

Everything is in d manner of approach, let's just pray we don't become a victim of casualties and human ridicule. In d right sense of the law they have no case against anyone, all they can do is take an offender to the station, register the case and such person is charged to court, but we live in a lawless country, where anything goes and the government empower robbers/ murderers in d name of police. But wot can one do in a case of a drunk policeman wit gun? Sometimes it better to play safe, than trying to b hero, if u went to follow dem to the police station in d mid of d night and they end up flipping the other side of dia kidnapping, what will u do? Government empowered beast and to get a solution to dis, it will take same government to cut them to seize. But too bad, no politician cares, the ppl in abj r so far from the realities on ground.

Sometimes not every condition you have to obtain people okay. In their situations which I witnessed not them talk say or whatever? SARS emptied their account I wrote it up their that they collected 112k if they’ve got 100naira on the figures, they’ll still collect it from them. I definitely know that Uber will pay me which they did this morning. These people are innocent but then we’re all Africa shit like this happens in their country too. He gave me his card told me to come and collect time wasting money or whatsoever it is or I should present my account number he promised to send something. Try not to judge let’s blame about country
Oh it's clear now. I thought they had money to pay but you just chose not to collect just to compensate for what SARS did to them. You did the only right thing to be done.
N.B. Collecting my fare at the end of the trip is not obtaining

I can tell you I never settle anybody since I came back to Nigeria. I will just politely help you waste your whole day with a smile on my face and remind you that your day is wasting. Sometimes I will put on my best foreign accent, feign ignorance as to what they want and ask straight up "are you requesting a bribe?".. at which point they usually can't get rid of me fast enough grin grin

Caveat: you have to be sure you have done nothing wrong and be prepared to be there a while. This applies to airport too wink

Funny thing is after I see them the next time and smile and wave at them, they conclude I am either crazy or stupid and we get along just fine lol

Sir you just analyzed it

A DPO once told me something’s

1. Only fool will see police with guns on the highway while traveling in Nigeria road and be claiming useless right or be fighting with them. Instead, manage your situation and leave.

2. Please don’t ever argue with policemen at midnights with guns in areas you don’t know. They (police) checking at night, 90% of them never wear name badges or come with their official vehicles.

They threatened and created fear on these people last night. I just came here to share my experience. Have a blessed day guys

Tag @segalink on twitterand narrate the whole thing and watch what happens.

This is why Nigeria is rated one of the most corrupt nations. These ones will never say anything good about Nigeria again, that it even came from a law enforcement agency.

Yes @ segalink on twitter.

But they mite not go thru that route cos of immigration.

From, the narrative, it seems they have expired visas, hence reason why the SARS pple exploited them.

All in all, its bad reputation for the country.

A whole #112,000 naira. for moving at midnite.

Who will save Nigeria?

You r acting dis way because u have seen a sane society, not that they dont have dia own social problems, but shame has been taken away from ours, the system is fantastically and spiritually amok, anything goes. An average Nigeria have one or two things to pin him/her down, but its left for him/her to b judged in a competent court of law, but no, everyone is muscling their presumed weak and taking advantage of such situation.... Man unkind to mankind, I want to build house, buy Benz and so on.

Let's take a good look at the situation, what r deh doing with such stuffs in the middle of the night? Work stuff should b left at work, they can b robbers as well, it is only an Hausa man that is permitted to move with such object and no one stops him.

I woke up this mrng and noticed my power steering oil is gone. I topped it up only to see that it drained off almost immediately.

When i started the car I noticed it's spraying out rom the steering rack (like a pipe is busted) bMy mechanic said the repair is 50/50.

Pls what do u advice? Regarding how dry everywhere Is.

I had similar issue. I repaired mine and till date I haven't topped even a drop of oil... The thing dey kamkpe...

But here is the breakdown.
I did first repair, it leaked and my money wasted. I then repaired it again at another place. This guy is a professional. The guy finish work. I wish he was the first person I met....

So in conclusion, u might not be lucky. So just replace it. But mind you, don't buy the one that has been worked on before o.

Sars had no jurisdiction for traffic stops and they would have been in trouble if they took them to jail because they have explicitly been ordered to get off the roads. If you're ever threatened by SARS, don't unlock your doors and windows down just a crack to talk. Ask why you were stopped and politely ask what probable cause they have to want to search your car. They won't be able to come up with one. if they make up one or insist, agree, in fact politely insist you go to the station for the search. They will let you go and beg for a little fuel money. I don't give it to them though. In fact they avoid my car now since the day they tried that nonsense and I insisted we go to station. They jumped in their car and I chased them down the freeway yelling "are we not going again"?? grin

I don't suggest you chase them like i did but politely call their bluff about the station and ask them to follow you there as you have no money and would like a thorough search done where it can be documented. If they know you know your rights, they are likely to let you go. But then again, what do I know?
SARS have no business harassing women....If you were a man, your beating go pass armed robber own....
Not saying you are wrong though.....but those animals have no respect for human rights.....you would have been slapped before you even quote your rights if you were a man...tagged a Yahoo boy or a cultist and threatened to be shot if you say one more word....
It takes grace and wisdom to deal with those guys.....just be composed, dont be too frightened of jail and even death...and make sure your hands are clean.....what do I know?...

I think the guys were more scared about their expired visa than the crime they were labelled with. So fighting this case will crumble because those SA guys can never come out to testify knowing an average Nigerian has set a trap for any SA fellow.

May we never meet with SARS people in the middle of the night.
