You seem like a young person so hopefully my story will inspire you.

Back in the mid late nineties I was what they call an Efiko. My parents never had to pay for school fees it was scholarship up until my first degree

I was a staunch Deeper Life Student whose role model was Pastor W.F Kumuyi ,you can imagine what kind of person I was . I dey use hand cover book for exam wink I NEVER skipped any step in my life or cut corners.

I got the PTDF scholarship while in a Federal University which transformed my life and I graduated top of my class

Exactly one month after NYSC I was hired by a MNC here in Nigeria worked for a few years then the travel perks started to roll in.

Europe, Middle East and North America, then finally the Houston station and those folks refused to let me go back.

If it's not too late for you, your story can be the same. Hard work, diligence, self-respect and above all believe in God then you will be whatever you wanna be without cutting corners

. . . But if it is too late for you my dear I am sorry na your destiny but the best you can do is copy my testimony make a 2'×3' poster out of it and place on the wall to use as an inspiration for your kids

You will thank me later

A lot of folks do not know that Nigeria actually works. I went to Federal schools all my life and from an early age my parents will always tell us if we set ourselves to stand out we will NEVER have to lobby for anything in Nigeria and its the true story

Even today I still see folks in this same naija, young educated and super brilliant from indigent and poor backgrounds with almost better story than mine and they doing great

Not all these japa nonsense that kids and adults are now involved in

Go the the Midwest you will see Yoruba women who have big businesses in Eko working "under the table" in factories.

It is sick to watch them Bad mouth their home country .you tell me how this person or group of people excel ? There are so many young people like that hopeless and scattered all over the USA

It makes me sick

I never miss an opportunity to be in Nigeria it is my first home and will always be. I come here every year and I see a steady progress.

I won't think twice to be back fully in naija. I envy you folks, you eat green and fresh straight from the ground, happy people even when suffering and that breath of air and noise that this is home

In Sound Sultan's voice;

"Ajo o dabile ee
No matter where u go, make u try come back area o"

I refuse to be an akata in my fatherland
I am first proudly naija before any second home till I die!

For those going for medical reasons and so,i would encourage you to try going to Canada. I just got back and i am so amazed at the treatment and service I received. The prices were also decent compared to what I used to pay in the US. Thank you very much for my visa denial cos it just opened my eyes to canadian healthcare . Goodluck to everyone.

Not true.

Those that are facing the challenge to go through the marriage route are either not meeting the right person to have such a relationship with or are just too clumsy.

Either way, there are more successful marriages of such.

Imagine going on a date and the first question they ask you is do you have GC?? It annoying tbvh

More than I am thinking? I believe statistics, not forum writing.

How do you determine getting it through statistic.

It is not one those surveys question that people ask about.

Most recent visas now come with a clause "no change of status". Our people still ignore it and think they can play the system.
Yes. And POE has a stamp no change of status, giving 30 days stay.

In fact, not all law enforcement (including police) is empowered to ask for immigration status.
To butress your point about opportunities, I will encourage smart hardworking Nigerian youth who are excelling in their feild to explore the O1a visa category which is a dual intent visa that easily translates into a Green Card. By nature of my job, I have succesfully recruited and filed for a couple of Africans (one Nigerian included) in this category. There are always opportunities for smart hardworking people.

All I have to tell you Buharists on this thread, is that, the way Embassies are treating us as at this day is a direct reflection of the hopes and prospects of that dream Nigeria we all have, basically. Deceive yourselves all you will. A brighter Nigeria post GMB is gonna be a lot of work no doubt!

As long as e no kill una, e no go fit still kill us. Abi una get special market, roads, schools, hospitals, electricity, etc wey una dey use wey different from the ones wey the rest of us dey use? You lot know the pains you'd never admit in the open for that FAILURE, you'd prefer to rather pretend, suffering and smiling, hoping for one elusive future of a better Naija!

I have noticed that all of us that know we can easily jettison Naija and run off when the chips are down actually make up the bulk of those with these false hopes, it's a bad one please. I can afford to do much for my family if push comes to shove, I have prepared the grounds for them, I have paid some reasonable dues for their future, they may not even be needing me that much, but how about the generality of our people? Oh, please! Please all of you, please!!!

No. Normal stay is from few days up to 6 Months. If the Immigration Officer see the person as a possible overstay or just see it's not necessary for 2 days conference to stay 6 months, or in the previous visit this person stayed 6 months or extended his/her stay for 6 months more, or IO suspects you come, stay 4-6 months working illegally, then come back again and again, or sometimes they follow the US government untold policy - reduce the tourists stay, send back 30%-40% African visitors, etc., then there is No Admission or the 30 days admission and the stamp No AOS. I don't know how many possibilities they have but I saw the admission stamp 30 days, 60 days and 6 months (it says from this to that date) and I saw No AOS stamp too. Usually No AOS stamp is given to a tourist visiting his/her fiance(e), sometimes parent of US citizen or anybody IO believes they can stay and fix AOS inside US.
