why is the North especially Fulani this apprehensive about the setting up of Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn? If they are peace-loving, they shouldn't feel threatened by its establishment in any sense
The more reason we should insist on having it come what may.

Ever heard of Operation Torch? I guess not.
No wonder you don't know anything.

The Biafran soldiers moved towards the West because Lagos was Nigeria's capital and the war was being planned and prosecuted from there. The aim was to capture Lagos and thereafter launch an offensive up north. Unfortunately, Yorubas under Col. Iluyomade taught the Biafrans a bitter lesson.

Read more about your history here and shut up.

Lies ojukwu never sent banjo a Yoruba man to capture Lagos but to distract Nigerian soldiers from attacking Enugu

If he wanted to capture Lagos he could have sent his bravest commander Kalu who dealt with adekunle black scorpion in rivers

Yorubas should now choose which is more important for them, their lives and security or the worthless good for nothing presidency.

i feel at this point the south should unite and insist on regional security and vote who ever will push for regionalism or restructuring in 2023 from the South. no wonder some people done want to hear anything about restructuring or constitutional review

You are getting there. That is what a working democracy looks like. Vote people in for fundamental changes to your destiny in a positive direction. That's all.

the YORUBAS fought the civil war majorly. Awolowo was the CEO of that war for your info, Benjamin afekunle , obasanjo majorly won the war for Nigeria. Without the YORUBAS Nigeria would have lost that war. Go read about Ibrahim taiwo and so many young YORUBAS generals and Colonels. The igbos keep boasting but have never won a war before in history
Have you turned this to Igbo vs yoruba war? I thought the issue is Amotekun?
Let me educate you a little bit tho, the war was between the Nigerian army and the biafran army. The Nigerian army who we're at sympathy with the British were getting weapons of warfare to face the Biafran army. All odds were in Favour of the Nigeria Army to conquer Biafra in short time. Gen. Gowon said that the Biafran Army would be destroyed and Biafra recovered within three months but it lasted three years. It was to many countries amazement how a little sect of the country would hold down the Nigerian Army for that long. The seaport at calabar was shut down by the Nigeria to enable no supply of foods to the Biafra land thereby causing mass starvation.
N/B as as that time in the 60s we had more educated southerners than northerners who were high rank army officers than the latter. The greatest ambush of the war was at Abagana carried out by the Biafra troops. Do not take glory in war over the bloods that have been shed do not boast over the life's that were killed. There was no winner no vanquished.

Ever wondered that all these sets of people can ever use to threaten some other tribes is their so-called 2023 presidency? I used to think that Nigeria Is a democratic nation where the people decide whom they want to be their leader. But all I see is still the same old power-grabbing.

So the South West should not defend themselves and protect their families and farmlands because of your useless 2023?

Your level of stupidity is making me purge!

Alhassan Saleh whoever he is is very mischievous and callous. Instead of this Government to look at the benefit of this idea and give support since her security apparatus have Completely left us at the mercy of fulani herdsmen killing maiming and kidnapping people everyday, he is here saying gibberish. The AGF sounds very unintelligent too saying the outfit is illegal. Seems it's different Federal laws for the North and South of this country Nigeria.

Which Yoruba fought the war majority? Majority of the people who fought that war were northerners , middle belt and some ijaws who joined their leader Isaac boro to fight Biafra, the only Yoruba the wan known in that war was adekunle black scorpion but we know how commander KALU dealt with him

The South would protect itself from herdsmen from Mali and supported by idiots from the North and would also would get the Presidency.

2023 is for one of two things to happen. Either the South gets Presidency or Presidency comes to the South. The North can't even try rubbish. If they do, all the southern regions would establish vigilantes to protect themselves while cattle rustlers and Boko Haram wipes out the North.

Mitetti Allah which comprises of murderous herdsmen and their foolish patrons would be taught a bitter lesson.

It will surely dawn on my people o

I still maintain that all this will stop the moment the Southern Protectorate unites and pursue a common goal.

But some southerners are known to betray others at the war front, why is it so?
it may interest you to know that before 1960 the late Chief Awolowo begged the late Dr Nnamdi Azikwe that the two of them shud come together and form the govt cos no party had gotten the required majority to form the govt. Dr Zik as history would tell us preferred the ceremonial role of president and formed alliance with the late Alh Tafawa Balewa. So I guess we know the southern who are known for betraying at the war front. Or is it the coup plots who agreed to kill all their political leaders - the north killed theirs , the west killed theirs but the easterns again betrayed at the war front. Let's be properly guided sir

What happened in the past should remain in the past. The only point of history is to avoid negative history repeating itself. All those 'tales by moonlight' told to us will not help this generation. Let's start afresh, unite and be strong, demand for right and just leadership and hold every single leader accountable for his stewardship instead of throwing jibes and trading blames. Divide and rule is the reality we face right now. If it is not Shagari/Ekweme ticket, then it will be Buhari/Oshinbajo or Atiku/Obi ticket. As long as we stay divided, ipob and amotekun will remain illegal while hisbah police will be sole prerogative of the state operating it.
