So this is my transcript after the oath was taken

QUESTION ASKED:

I see your fiancé is the one petitioning for you, can you tell me how you both met? - I bombarded him with details to the point he said that it was okay

What date did you start talking? - I answered

Did she visit your country or you met somewhere else?

When did you meet in person?

Have you met any of her sisters in person?

Have you ever been married?

Do you have kids?

Had she ever been married?

Does she have kids?

How old are they?

How do they feel about you?

Why didn’t you marry in Nigeria

Have you ever traveled outside Nigeria?



He walk away for about 30secs, then came back, stamped and signed something (I think it was the affidavit of support). Then said “I have all I need to approve your visa, gave me 2 white sheets (one was pick up location while the other was IMBRA. He reminded me that should I get married here, the visa is automatically revoked. He Never asked for proof of relationship, IRS or W2. I only submitted the affidavit of support along with bank statements where I did my fingerprints.

Bottom line is Pray to God to be with you every step of the way. Lastly, know your fiancé/fiancée in and out.

How did you guys meet?
Where did she stay during her last visit? Told him, my place for 3 week in Dec 2019.
Were her parents ok with her staying with you?
Have both your parents discussed the bride price?

He then gave me 2 papers (visa pickup instructions and IMBRA) and told me visa will be ready for pickup in 2 weeks.
He also advised against getting married before entering the states as that would invalidate the visa.

What you can do is to keep checking, but mind you that if you don’t pick a date now, you might not get an earlier date and the dates available now would have been filled up.

Guys, Still on the Passport collection....About 12 workings today yet no emails or txt msg. Has anyone picked up his/her Visa?

Hey there @nayee, please if you don't mind me asking, at what date did they finally contact you to pick up your own passport! Hoping to hear from you soonest.

My passport expires in August and i cant renew it until 1st Feb....learnt i need to renew it before i can book for the interview as the embassy requires over six months validity on the passport. Any ideas or advice on this?

Go ahead and schedule a date. Don't wait until you renew your passport before you schedule a date.

And you can start the process of renewal before February 1st. A trustworthy and experienced Agent can help start the process. He can start the process now but conclude it on or after February 1st.

But will i have to send them a mail to change my passport number to the new one when i get it or i can just hold on to it when going for my interview

I did mine@qlifefamilyclinic think is the cheapest so far and they are fast /results are being sent there before interview which makes load to the embassy reduced abit.. but the choice is yours

You can always send ustraveldocs guys a mail or call them to change it. Even if you can't change it, there's no problem. The new passport will have the old passport number in addition to the new number, so the embassy will see the link between the two passports.
