The someone most likely applied for a K1 visa and not the visiting visa. The K1 visa has nothing to do with travel history.

Well, thanks for your suggestions but I have someone that went for his interview today and was given in Abuja. Same scenario ......I've compelled him to come on this thread and share . In his words,he said there's no really any good or right thing to say.. The consular just want to see how truthful you are and how coherent your stories are. They know y'all travel to lots of counties just to get the travel history so they don't give a hoot about that no more. He said all she asked from him is what his fiance does and what he does in which he replies he's just a farmer/ agriculturist and that the woman further ask him why he thinks he deserves the visa and he said ,that's not up to him. After typing ,she asked him how he would feel if he's denied and he said I'll take my money to another country to spend it there lol..then boom, come pick your passport. Honestly, I can't live in yanky not because its not cool....I no fit carry my club cruise and all that play besides,I make enuff cheese here ,even more than my fiance wey dey there self. So I'm going to apply no matter what ,if not for anything ,just to show my woman at least I tried and whatever happens happens. That one wey dem dey tuck in go, if I no fit wear my jeans and tees ,make dem hold their embassy. Thanks

Lol! You’re consoling yourself,all embassies,not only the US ‘relaxes their muscle’ once they see a good travel history! I’ll NEVER discourage anyone here because anything can happen! But with a good travel history,your chances of getting a US visa right now will move to 80%

With the questions you said they asked the person that just got a visa,i can bet anything it’s a K1 visa! Those questions are for K1 which is what you should do as well!

I and my family was at the Lagos embassy on Tuesday, the first we heard was you do not qualify for this visa this letter would explain more.
The painful thing is they don't ask for anything they just collect your passport ask where you are going to then the next thing you do not qualify .
The only persons I witnessed them granting are 3 old people almost dead even a heavily pregnant woman was denied .
Are you sure they've not made up their minds on who to give before the interview date it's painful because we genuinely had a conference and also our first vacation as a family

Yes. A separate form for every applicant.

Of course. No visa is 100% guaranteed.....BUT the K1 visa is NEVER denied for lack of travel history......which is the point that was made.

True. Any Family reunification Visa is approved if there was no crime and others in the beneficiary life history.

More often than not, your DS160 can help make an informed decision before you appear for the interview.

It is possible that the conference date falls within the school year, and your spouse is going to miss/be away from work or business. Kids miss school. And you are attending a conference that isn't being paid for by your office, nor will be useful in getting you promoted or get a pay rise.

I once had one with my chick at the Ikeja mall...though not completely awesome but she rated it 90%. I don't remember the name of that place but if you get to Ikeja mall,second entrance ..the signage is visible
