civil servants do their jobs in the offices (employed by government) while public servants renders services to the masses or citizens(employed by government)

Please I would like to have a concise different between a Civil Servant and a Public Servant, since they both are like tools through which governmental policies are executed.

A civil servant works for an established govt and can be there till retirement.

A public servant serves in a govt office for a given period as determined by constitution, he / she being elected to do so by election or appointment

Civil servants are the staff members of Ministries. Eg. Teachers ( under ministry of education).

Public servants are the staff members of corporations. Eg. NNPC, CBN, NTA, etc.
