Tribal bigots stay away from this post!

I think it would be commendable if the South South governors can come together just like their south west counterparts and also introduced the “Niger Delta Security Guard”

They will work with the security agencies and operate same way the “Western Nigeria Security Network”(Amotekun) operates within the laws of Nigeria.

We all know the security challenges in the Niger delta region, apart from the north east, the most insecure region in Nigeria today is the Niger delta region.

With a joint security outfit, we will not only create jobs for the South South People, it would also bring security of life and properties and allow companies to function well without fear and also encourage other companies to come to the Niger delta region and invest and most especially it will also encourage importers to use the Port Harcourt Sea Port and also that of Warri to ease tension on the Lagos port.

The members of the Niger delta security guard would be recruited from: Vigilante groups, ex militants, repentant cultist and those Niger deltans who would voluntarily choose to join.

What do you think?

No tribalism here please.

Finish with Amotekun in west first before helping others.

This afonja opened account less than a week ago. Despite the public support amotekun receives from SE/SS afonja haven't gotten enough spine to proceed without looking for a bandwagon.

He is even looking for the support of SS in case the whole 'show' develop into something significant.

I just wish the SE and SW can fight without involving SS. We haven't said anything about Amotekun.
Also except for Asari Dokubo who has his selfish agenda, SS region was silent about Biafra. You guys should stop dragging us into this fights na. Kilode

Observe how the first offensive is always from Osu

You literally created a thread about Niger delta but they made it about them

I just wish the SE could stop dragging SS, its nauseating.

We just want to live in peace with other tribes.
SS is made up of so many ethnic groups, it will be disastrous if we start seeing things the way others see it.

I am scared for my region, there is no group that dominates in the SS, If we join the fight going on between other ethnic groups, it won't be long before we start bringing that to our region.

When you tell them, they will call u Afonja

Look at this map and see injustice. How can the East be in the middle of the South?
The Fulani/Hausa caliphate did everything to cut the Igbos from the sea. Abia should have extended to the sea. At the fullness of time these boundaries will be redrawn just as Isreal was redrawn in 1948!

Since FG cannot stop Amotekun they will try to make an executive order to block anyone else forming something like it.

So in the heat of the moment while everyone's attention is on security this will be a good time for other regions who do not yet have a framework to hurriedly create one, even if they will later on down the line bring it up at their assemblies to give it statutory powers.

Use the energy of the moment to get ahead of FG resistance and counter plan.

take a look at the map, your state is not a Niger delta state, thanks to the fake imaginary boundary that created artificial south south , if not your dry hungry land should be in the arid Sahara where you see rain only 3 times in a year. , kindly note that you are not regarded as a Niger delta state..... You don't belong to where you claim, continue searching for your real root brother.

The so called old eastern region that made Biafra was it not a brutish creation

The same west that lumped us with Yorubas was it not the same British
The same old northern region was it not a British creation

I don’t see Yorubas still claiming the whole of delta and edo as their own

Let’s keep tribal politics aside, how do you mean Abia should have been extended to the sea?

If you look at that map, you will notice that the people in that area in Rivers state which blocks Abia south from the sea are not Igbo people. They are Ogoni (Khana) and Opopo/Ndoni people of Rivers state.

Please educate me on Abia state should have been extended to the sea as you claim. Thanks

It is foolishness to say that Edo State is not part of the Niger delta. Infact we are even telling you that parts of Ondo state should join the Niger delta people this is not about NDDC.

65% of Rivers state traced their ancestry to Benin Kingdom. The Oba of Benin was in Port harcourt of recent and made the declaration that Ikwerre (The majority in Rivers state) Ogba ans Ahoada (Ekpeye) People are originally from Benin Kingdom.

70% of Delta state people trace their ancestry to Benin Kingdom. The Urhobor (Majority in Delta), Isoko, Ika, Ukwani (which igbos claim are originally from Igbo like they do to Ikwerre people too).

So it is impossible to exclude Edo state from the Niger delta.

South South was created same way Eastern region, Western region was created, same way Nigeria was created. So don’t tell me to forget about South South and go back to Eastern region, they are all failed. I will rather remain south South than join you for mk Eastern whatever which have failed.

But down here we are the Niger deltans by geographical location and ancestral relationship within the Niger delta people.

When a Delta man talks in pidgin it’s not different from an Edo mans pidgin.

When a Rivers man talks in pidgin, it’s no different from a Bayelsa mans pidgin.

When a Calabar talks in pidgin, it’s no different from an Akwa Ibom man’s pidgin.

So Nigerians need to know that we Niger delta people are totally different set of people from the Igbos, Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani and other minor tribes up north. Thanks.
