Bello hails Buhari for recognisig Kogi as oil producing State

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi has expressed the state government’s appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari recognizing it as one of the Oil-producing states.

This is contained in a statement by Mr Onogwu Muhammed, Chief Press Secretary to Bello on Wednesday.

”Gov. Bello conveyed his thank you message to Mr President during his visit to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday.

”Kogi was listed among Nigeria’s oil-producing States by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC),” he said.

Bello said that he briefed President Buhari on the need to resuscitate the Ajaokuta Steel Complex, in Kogi.

”The aim of my visit to Mr President was to thank him for the recognition of Kogi State as one of the Oil-producing states in the country.

“And we also discussed the issue of Ajaokuta Steel Complex which Mr President said all efforts are ongoing to ensure the Steel Complex comes up before the end of his administration,” Bello stated.

Bello also noted that with the recognition of Kogi and Anambra, the age-long oil wells dispute that resulted in unwarranted killings and destruction of properties has ended.

”President Buhari’s decision has brought peaceful resolution of the dispute. The disputes between two communities of Odeke in Ibaji local government area of Kogi and Aguleri in Anambra state has come to an end.

“The Ibaji oil crisis has been on for a while and has led to large scale destruction of property with the loss of many lives.

“The Odeke and Aguleri communities of Kogi and Anambra laid exclusive claim to the ownership of the oil in the disputed area which has been finally resolved in favour of both states.

“By history, the exploration of crude oil in Ibaji Local Government Area which comes under the Anambra Basin in geological terms started in 1952.

“In the villages of Odeke, Echeno, Ihile, Anocha/Uchuchu, Omabo, Ikah, Iregwu and Ujeh all in Ibaji community of the present-day Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi.

“Between 1952 and 1986 three companies namely; Shell BP (now SPDC), ELF (now Total Fina Elf) and AGIP Energy have drilled 25 exploration wells, 2 appraisal wells and eight-core drill wells in the entire Basin out of which majority of the wells fall into Kogi”

So how come it’s only when Obiano put in the effort to correct the injustice being done to Anambra State that Buhari knew Kogi was a oil producing state!?

I’ve said it, that this new status Anambra has gained is paining some people as it isn’t part of the post-war script on emasculating and dealing with the Igbos! Their hands were tied on this one, because it’s just as obvious as the Pope being Catholic that oil production is going on in Anambra! So they grudgingly agreed! But they had to find a way to limit the little they’ve conceded to Anambra by adding Kogi to the mix!

You have to ask yourself why they haven’t finished delineating the boundary between Anambra and Kogi almost a decade after they started! This foot-dragging has now meant Anambra has to share the 4 disputed wells with Kogi until maybe the second coming of Christ! It’s this uncertainty over which state owns the wells that has allowed Buhari to undercut Anambra and give oil producing status to Kogi!

Lol even if you gave them the answer to solve their problems they'll just whine some more. The Igbos are separated and nothing will be done about since nobody is really interested in reunification. Its just hot air and something to complain about endlessly.

Yahya bello is running kogi like a feudal empire, paying thugs and assasins to eliminate political opponents, fleecing kogi state treasury in preparation for 2023 elections. Owing workers and pensioners backlog of salary. Nobody dares to talk. All because booharii backs him. Na kestolove95 state be that, very hopeless state.

This is another fo0l that they are about to package for empty-skulled nigerian buffoons to vote for in 2023. And as usual monkeys and baboons will fall for it again. Go to kogi and see the rot in that state, but nobody talks because nobody wants Bello's thug to come kidnap and kill them, while booharii cheers his bloodsucking political godson.

Stop talking jargon, you one nigerianist bigot. That is the prize of the foolishness of all you one nigeria buffoons. I wonder why a bonafide Igbo man would like to be under subjugation of foreigners and still be happy suffering the consequences. Sometimes, I ask myself if all you that pose as Igbos and supporting one nigeria here are actually Igbos.

E don tire person my brother.

Even the South East region was a creation of the White men.

Every Igbo town was an autonomous community before the arrival of the British.

Even if Nigeria divide, the Igbos won't find it easy taking over a lot of Edoid/igboid group in Delta state. There was never a time those Edoid/Igboid group were under any control of any Igbo town before the arrival of the British. Benin can invade the territories and claim it on the basis they were under the Benin kingdom, before the creation of Nigeria.

When we say that Igboland habors the largest oil and gas deposit in the world, this is where our findings are coming from. Same thing in Rivers state, Delta state, some parts of Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom states.
