Who will win Euro 2020? The favourites, outsiders, underdogs & latest odds

Portugal are the reigning champions after seeing off France in 2016 but who are the frontrunners to lift the trophy next time?

Euro 2020 qualifying is almost complete with 20 of the 24 available places in the tournament already taken.

There are no automatic qualifying berths for this tournament due to 12 different countries holding matches in the finals, meaning every side had to get there in the usual ways of winning the group or winning a play-off.

Who are the favourites to win Euro 2020?

England are 4/1 favourites with bet365 to win the European Championships for the first time ever after finishing fourth at the previous World Cup.

Gareth Southgate guided the Three Lions to their joint-best finish and will now have his sights set on winning Euro 2020.

The final is being held at Wembley, which would certainly be a storybook ending to the tournament for the second-favourites who have previously never reached the showpiece.

Belgium are at 5/1 to win Euro 2020 and claim their first major trophy in history, having previously lost the final in 1980 and finished at the 2018 World Cup.

The Red Devils are certainly one of the most talented squads in the world, boasting the likes of Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, and have been tipped by many to finally make their golden generation count.

Who are the Euro 2020 underdogs?

World champions France are 13/2 with bet365 to win Euro 2020. This would mark the second time they have held both the World Cup and the European Championship simultaneously, having also done so in 2000.

Les Bleus have won the European Championships twice in their history and were runners-up in 2016. Victory next summer would see them move level with Germany and Spain on three championships.

Didier Deschamps’ men won six and drew one of their matches on the way to winning the World Cup in 2018, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final to lift the Jules Rimet for the second time.

Netherlands failed to qualify for the last two major tournaments but are also 13/2 to win Euro 2020 after seemingly turning around their fortunes.

Led by Virgil van Dijk, the Oranje won their Nations League group before being edged out 1-0 in the inaugural final by Portugal and, as such, are assured of at least a play-off place regardless of how well they do in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Spain are available at 8/1 to become the most successful team at the European Championships by winning their fourth title.

La Roja won the competition in 2008 and 2012, becoming the first side to retain the title in the process, and will be aiming to make up for a disappointing showing at the 2018 World Cup.

Bet365 offer 9/1 on Germany casting aside the ignominy of a group stage exit at the World Cup by winning Euro 2020.

Despite going into that tournament as champions, Joachim Low’s men lost twice and then, to add insult to injury, were relegated from their Nations League after failing to win any of their four games.

Italy are also available at 9/1 to bounce back from their own failure to reach the last World Cup by claiming their second European Championship title.

The Azzurri have never missed consecutive major tournaments and should have few problems making the finals as they search for a first continental title since 1968.

Who are the Euro 2020 outsiders?

Holders and Nations League champions Portugal are 16/1 to repeat their success of 2016 by becoming the second side the retain the championship after Spain achieved the feat in 2012.

Bet365 price Croatia at 25/1, with Ukraine quoted at 66/1 whilst Switzerland and Denmark are both available at 80/1.

1. Portugal. European giants and Prideful champions of both the Euro and UNL at the same time.

2. France. World champions

3. England. Too many talents with hunger, a radical coach, not forgetting the fact that sincerely speaking, right now globally, England is the home of fierce, vigorous and beautiful football.

I lean towards England

you are just part of the anti-English bandwagon. I remember naming three teams which includes France and Portugal. And pls belgium is a joke. For spain, England has recently proven to be better.

If your opinion drives you to tip Wales or Serbia, so bi it. I won’t argue your opinion with you. Don’t argue mine with me

it's like u started watching football today . That's how it is , England is always that way , they don't perform in tourneys , they play all they are gonna play in qualifiers and end up flopping in big stages . From 2012-2014 how many games do u think the English team lost? I don't think they lost up to 2 games , dude these guys won almost all their games in the qualifiers , of not all of them . No be me and u de here ? Last last na QF dem go teach yapa . Who counts English teams ? Lol . The only reason they got to the semis the last WC was because of how the WC settings were , and they ended up getting knocked out by Croatia . With all the generational players they had then they couldn't do shit and Ur seriously gonna trust these set of guys to do anything ? That bet company is an English company , it's pretty obvious lol.

your hate for the team gives them more points. Has Belgium ever lived up to your hype? That a team is expected to do well is a thing, that the team eventually does well is another team entirely. Whether you hate England or not, they are among the teams expected to win the Euros, coupled with other teams co-big teams.

It’s painfully a fact!

England isn't a big team pls , quit the hype . Belgium has proven to be a better team over the years .

quite strange. You seem to look at football the way our chelsea touts do.

Anyway if you have your own faves, its very okay. I’m sure you have your own reasons.

But for me, it’s either Portugal, England or France and I lean towards England more this time around. It’s okay if we have different picks
